^^ Another castle. This one's a smaller one in Kishiwada (in southern Osaka). A bit of history... This castle was actually hit by lightning in 1827, and wasn't reconstructed until 1954. The decendents of the Okabe family, that last held position there for 13 generations, still live in a housing complex right next door to the castle.

I almost thought this was Iwakuni Castle. xD

So many of the castles in Japan look alike. They're all beautitful, though. =]

Nice angle, and lighting.

WOW! I am an Okabe Decendant!!! That is so cool! I've been told my ancestors were high in society, but no one really gave me a lot of details because I live in the states.

Oh the architecture... mind if I try to do a greyscale of this in pencil? It's a magnificent photograph.

Cool. I used to live in America with my Mom and Dad, but now I live in Tokyo with my sister Alaina and cousin Seth.

I've been to one of the castles in Osaka, and I believe it was this one. I remember hearing something about it being struck by lightning.

Anywhoo, awesome shot.
