The nascence of fall whispers Quietly behind my ears - The ripple of a full golden moon Over thick, inky waves. The last storm of summer left Gaping darkness in the glass city, Contorted boughs etched against A disconcertingly wide sky. Months of transition. Anesthesia. The knowledge that one day That there will be one Empty bed in the house (please have mercy please). Drowning out the fear in soundwaves late at night. Tearing lives apart with my bare hands (Blood swirling open like petals; I'm so sorry). Crippling self hate and doubt. mortal body, timeless souls
Summer ripens in May; We are denuded by heat while Our feelings are efflorescent. All unfurls until we touch At the core, golden and powdery (A tingling saccharine tang Slips down my airways and Pours into my lungs-- The heart softens, embalmed With an essence of youth). We spend noontime and nights In studious spirits, Taught by nothing more than the Rough-hewn instincts carved into our Firework cells and tidal pulse By generations immemorial. You take my hand and guide me Past forbidden gateways and winding labyrinths; A flash of unbridled hunger in your eyes But I am not afraid (If you'll be my king I'll be your lionheart). We are bo

I never realized the Sheer weight Of this body armor when it has Morphed into a second skin, a burden Never spared a second thought. Razor edges, cold metallic light Glinting haughtily, stinging enough to cut - Chain mail eating into my sides, Barbed wire dug their heels in And I awake to blink against a chrysalis of Ballistic glass. When did this shyness harden? (Life softly breaks us in like What they do to wild horses) Years spent clawing moats into the ground, Shutting the drawbridge and Raising the battlements. Content I sit in an empty throne room, Bloodied fingers and aching bones Gloating at my success: Nothing can get in. (He

Take my hand and look - All the coincidences That brought us here: 4.6 billion years ago A star burst gasping into life; Fire and ice falling into themselves And the sky rained stones to Bring oceans foaming into existence - In the roiling grey a spark grew, It unfurled at the speed of light and Burst out of its watery seams. Lands awash with moss and fern. Thousands of orbits worth of Birthrights and bloodlines Led me here to you: Brown irises striking starquakes in me, Solar storms resounding in my skull, Hypernovas setting off gamma-ray fireworks In the space between these 24 ribs. Our gravitational fields interlock Like fingers, Ou

Light takes up the space Where your shadow should have been. For the first time I realize How silent cicadas are and the Gaping brightness of an early summers day (They were too late to send you off That evening, when the last rays dimmed And retreated out of the alley, leaving You alone. What was it like to blink up At wind-shredded clouds for the last time? How did it feel to have Nothing but air under your feet?) That final step which erased you from this world. Blunt force trauma And the curtain falls over your broken form, Limp and distorted, as though being emptied Of its soul made it collapse under its own weight. Pooling, trickl

under the weather
Today the sky is made of Sculpted wax, slick and white And impatiently frozen - Awaiting an initiation. The trees hold their breath In anticipation, boughs yawning Towards the thickened atmosphere (As if to encase it whole to swallow), Tips of branches quivering with Longing. It paints them obsidian Against the clouds, blackened by Desire. Even the birds hold their tongue. Here I am, eyes upturned like Outstretched hands holding cups, Begging for the years first rain To cleanse this dust-clad world Coated in expired sins.

It feels like seeing For the very first time, Windshield wiper cleansing The obfuscating haze from my eyes. It is all crystal clear, The twilight beneath frozen oceans Unfolding in ice-blue sincerity (When all is muted under halted Waves and echoes softly between brinicles, I come to the quiet stunning epiphany that I am In love With you.) This truth keeps me up 'til dawn, Birdsong woven into morning air and You took up all my headspace like Displaced water, filled to the brim (I fill the cup with this trickling spring Every night and bring it to your lips, Ask you what I taste like from The inside out -- A deconstruction of self: T

We all die via necrosis. A deleterious detonation, A shockwave emanating from Ground zero (Cardiac monitor - Monotonic null). This golden forest rooting deep in a Corner of my heart - all is silent and still. The stars frozen in place, memories Tucked softly among dead seeds. There you wander, gaze reflecting A stillborn dawn. Aspen eyes watch Warily, blinking at the crackle of your steps. (I have spread my dreams under your feet; Tread softly because you tread on my dreams.) The explosion had caused Ashen snow and acid rain, stripping My innards clean (not like it matters, little Fragments of myself die and are replaced By the minute

This is a transduction of Minute f-fl-flickering electrical storms Betwixt my temple's synapses to Soft, subtle sillage of an After            thought Into 1s and 0s. My mind is a species of its own, Gnawing and clawing at the fabric Of reality, Neutrinos mistaking themselves for meteor showers (stellar steam clinging to the ceiling as though afraid of Gravity [am I? were you?]) Phosphophyllite lagoons flaked with shards of sun Luna maria rippling over dilapidated bombed-out megacities (noun a very large city, typically one with a population of over ten million people.) Whenever I close my eyes I see it-- Concrete crumbling Pipes leak

Silver light upon the sea Sharp as scales, they slit the Morning sun open - Like a yolk it bleeds, ichor Spilled thoughtlessly; Smearing the fish belly white Morning with a splatter of life. Golden light upon the sea Warm as palms, they stroke the Turbulent blue - Like a cat it purrs, star-chilled waves Licking shores; Tabby pelt flecked with shell white And the gulls sing once more.

Requiem for a Rose
i) The wraith of a sun floats Above the horizon, phosphenes In the eyes of god(s). Astral lights Exhale; the dawn zephyr reaches Down from the new-born heavens (Reincarnated every morning) And kisses the soil, and you shrouded In your bud decides to unfurl - Breathing to synodic rhythms. ii) Perhaps you were the rose the Nightingale decided to pierce it's throat On, all for the sake of love. You were a romantic, an idealist, a Dreamer. The world would turn slower For you when you believed; fireflies Flitting in the shadowy spaces between your Fingers, and we'd watch the night turn Robin-blue as the moonlight bathed yo

How to save a life
To the kind souls who were there for me when I needed them, I cannot express the full extent of my gratitude and fondness. I cannot express the full of extent  of how touched I am, when your words made me smile and brought tears to my eyes and made me feel warm and supported. I really want to thank you, wholeheartedly, for   giving me light when I was lost in darkness. All of your unconditional offers to be someone I can talk to are the best gift I could receive. All of your wise words of advice are ones I'll keep with me. I could not ask for more in this world when there are people (friends) that I barely know that are willing to spend th
