Beautiful Couples In Life And In Art - Part Five
In a time when nothing is more certain than change, the attachment of two people to one another has become a rare thing, but just this increases its beauty.
All of us want to love and to be loved, but this is not easy at all!:icontruesmiles:
Love doesn't means only "I Love You", love means commitment and respect, a strong shoulder who can support your head at any moment, a warm heart who can  receive your joys, an energetic hand which can relieve all pain and depression, a mysterious smile during a dance, which always conjures the First Dance, but above all, love is the only feeling  that shines over time when our hair is white and our wrinkles talk about memories.
This is love and life, this is what all of us dream to have and to share this is what we have to respect and cherish.
I had the chance to meet some beautiful couples in our  dA community and I have the pleasure to dedicate a series of journals to them.
I want to do this because I want to let them know how

Back to Basics Photography - Composition
Lately I've seen quite a few photos that have potential, but need some work. Composition is one of the most important parts to taking any photo (and making any piece of art really) and so I thought I'd share a few basic rules and tips. The word composition simply means 'putting together' and so, with any piece of art, it's how the piece is put together. With a bit of practice while keeping these tips in mind, you can create a more impacting, pleasing to the eye piece of work that will draw the viewer in and keep them interesting.
You could crop your images afterwards when you get them onto the computer, but it'd be lovely to have a great image right off the boot, right? By keeping in mind the things below, you'll be well on your way to taking better photos. And don't forget, it's always better to know the rules before you start break them ;) A few tips before we start;
Look around using the viewfinder every time you take a picture.
Look at each element and how it impacts the overall co

Lemme say first of all - If you really like a photo and you want to spread it around to some of your groups on dA... please feel free to do so with my blessing, thanks and tons of appreciation, no need to ask my permission first. You can spread my photos further and faster on dA than I ever could dream of doing alone.

Ok, now with that said...

I am a amateur/hobbyist photographer, just got a decent camera in Sep 2011. I have always enjoyed art and I am now getting a chance to use my camera to capture images of the beauty in our world, natural and man made. I am also a father of two and have been married for more than twenty years to my highschool sweetheart. On Fridays my daughter and I take off some where to take photos... more or less a father/daughter day out to have some fun. So you will find many photos from those days in my gallery... but as time passes I and take my camera with me to places I think I may have photo opportunies, without being rude, the random photos may eventually outnumber the ones I go out for photos on purpose.

Oh, and BTW... I love to thank for Fav's. I will try not to spam you too much, but you will probably hear from me if you fav a photo. When I thank you I will look at your gallery and see what is there, no need to ask me to look at your gallery, I probably already have. I have been on dA for 7yrs now and have less than 70 favorites. I love allot of art, but I will only fav art that really calls to me. I love to talk to people, to connect with people from around the globe, so if you are feeling chatty, go ahead and let loose with whatever small talk, questions or chatter you have on your mind. Now the negatives... don't ask for points and I wont follow you unless I am truly taken by your art. Don't feel bad if I don't, because if I do, then I truly mean it.

As far as what I do for post processing on my photos... I auto correct contrast and possibly color, put a tiny bit of 'photographers curve' in, plaster my name on it and ta-da... done.

Hello everyone!

As my watchers may have noticed there have not been a lot of bird photographs lately. That is because I have not stopped by the Raptor Rehabilitation Center here where I live over the summer. They do great work at rehabilitating injured raptors and getting them back out into nature where they belong and taking in those that cannot live in the wild anymore. When I went to the center this weekend I found out that two of the resident birds had died.

Liberty the male bald eagle died of old age after living at the center for nearly two decades. He was not as photogenic as his partner Hali preferring to stay in the back of the pen. But if I have my choice, I will die of old age too... not a bad way to go.

And Luke, the American Kestrel. Now unfortunately Luke did not die from 'natural causes' per se... as it turns out, Luke and Lurch were digging a hole together under the wall that separated their enclosures. Now Lurch would not have been a problem for Luke since he is a vulture and prefers carrion, is rather slow and lumbering and has a bad wing. The problem came about that Luke was a imprint and Lurch shares his enclosure with two Swainson's Hawks and a Red Tailed Hawk... not pretty...

But on a more positive note, the center did get a nice new photogenic resident I hope to be getting better photos of sooner or later, a barn owl. I did get some of him this time, but I am not wholly impressed with my first effort to get photos of him...

Smile!
