Things I hate most in pixiv?
When some user start censoring their works.
Must be because of admin warning.

So far, I never got those kind of notice, maybe because I am not popular.
Being invisible brought a blessing to me, it seems.

Devious Comments

I've had it an admin warning twice on Pixiv, basically it states that unless you censor the work it will be made invisible to other users.
Both times I did receive it in English, which is handy.

If you are a normal user, this means losing all faves, comments etc. on your work either way, since you can't 'update' an image with a new version.
Premium users are kinda in the clear on that matter, as shown in the warning.

It sucks, but it's Japanese law after all. Things aren't allowed to be uncensored even outside of Pixiv....
So far though, only two of my uploads had to be censored, while the other I uploaded even after the warnings remained untouched.
(I guess it does still put me at risk uploading uncensored stuff if they look at my warning history, but oh well...)

Gah, it is weird indeed.

But yeah, so far there's no warning on me, and I think I am thankful for being unpopular.

Ironically, my drawings are not good enough for Hentai Foundry, and too risky for Deviantart, and I particularly dislike censoring stuff in Pixiv.

Is Tumblr safe? Been considering to make an account there but I think it'll be hard to manage more than two accounts.

My apologies for the really late reply ^_^"

I've heard tons of stories about the Hentai Foundry system and how it blocks amazing art yeah...
Never uploaded there myself, but the most common 'reason' was due to body proportion being off or something (which is kinda odd for a ton of drawing style ^_^")

Tumblr is safe, but you do have to advertise for it quite a bit.
If your Tumblr is marked R-18, it doesn't show up in the regular search results unless the searcher turns on the feature themselves.
So far I haven't had any problems with Tumblr, but due to the whole 'reblogging' system I do notice I very rarely get comments on my works ^_^"

It's okay.
And yeah, I have to agree. Drawing styles differs for every person, whether it's normal or smut.

For Tumblr, even though I know I can post uncensored stuffs there, it's hard to search because of tags, and I am concerned, is that site users easily rage on underage characters? You might know that in Japan, 16 years old is pretty much legal, but how about Tumblr? Is it filled with sharks looking for risky smuts to report too?
So far I don't draw lolis though, but I'm sure I draw some smut of 16-17 y/o fictional character on Pixiv.
I'm not sure to post those in Tumblr, even though it allows uncensored things but I don't know if there are some strict age restrictions or something.

And as a growing artist, I need comments too so I can develop my skill better. If Tumblr rarely gives any comments, it might be not so different with Pixiv.

Whether they rage or not is going to depend on how popular you become there I guess ^_^"
I have posted quite a bit of loli content myself, yet I can only remember a single comment so far.
(It wasn't a rage comment, nor on a loli work)
I haven't really heard anything about age restrictions on characters, but I haven't really looked into it either XD

I do have my tumblr since March last year, and I haven't had any works removed so far.

Pixiv doesn't give comments all that often either, though there is one thing to consider.
Pixiv has 'image responses', basically a wide range of small images they can use to comment rather than writing something.
You aren't notified about a response like that, and you can turn it off, but as they are easy to use a lot of users do comment with them.
All in all though, being on all three sites DA gives me the most comments.

I see, so you didn't know if there's actually some kind of minimum age restrictions for NSFW posts in Tumblr.

As for image responses in Pixiv, I only see them as a kind of emoticon reply on short messages, so I'm not that excited whether to receive those or not at all. Because those images are pretty much vague, I think.

In the end, I gotta use DA for critiques and suggestions, ironically with so many restrictions about posting.

Yup, I didn't ^_^"
Only thing I could was offer my experiences on the site so far XD

Likewise, I don't really see image responses as real comments, especially as some people just tend to spam them whenever I see their names pop up.
However, it is still a kind of feedback that people might not have offered otherwise ^^

Yup, DA remains the best for that.
I use the 'preview' system where I post a cut-up image to DA telling where people can find things, which can work around the restrictions somewhat.

Maya Fey X Rayfa Padma Khura'in [Cesaru33] Preview by koter29
(It's a commission rather than drawn by me, but I use this style on my own works too.

While I do get less comments on these previews than on actual post of course, it will at least inform people it exist so they might look for it and talk about it.
And since nothing is shown, there should be no reason for it to be removed XD
(Seriously, I censored my works before on DA, non-loli too, and they still got removed with me a month suspended ^_^")

It's okay if you don't know. I won't push further. Looks like I gotta post there myself sometime later in the future.

Yeah, I agreed on how you post.
Post the preview (or censored one) here in dA and publish the full + clean size somewhere else. I already did that since some years ago.
And I already tasted 1 month ban too on last year, so I know how you felt.
It's kinda nonsense and ironic because this site include "deviant" in its name lol
