I'm still baffled with how Japanese censor stuff in doujins and such.
What's the point of giving a black bar on the tip of the D if you already know what happened anyway?

I remembered the first times I found h-doujins and looking from the material, I knew what "rod" has to be inserted to what "door" even with those absurd bars.

Even though I heard it's some kind of law to censor ero materials in Japan, it's still doesn't make any friggin' sense if the story is about forced/NTR/other immoral theme but you only blur the genital out a little.
It's not trying to keep us from viewing what happened in the scene and what is the thing that being kept from our sight, it's a turn-off.

Basically in a movie, if A wants to murder B with a gun, only the muzzle of the gun is blurred yet the gunning process, the scream of agony, the shedded blood and lifeless body got aired to whole country.
Yoooo. Such logic.

I never thought of it that way, but you make a great argument. Thank you for sharing.

Yeah, I never understood why they have such a law in Japan to censor arts... :hmm:
Luckily though, there are hentai artists that manage to publish their work without censorship. I have quite a collection of hentai books now(Well, it's getting there... My hentai collection) And I have all the uncensored books from Project-H and thankfully all the Fakku books are uncensored as well. =P

That's why I'm still confused, if they're thinking that portraying genitals are disgusting, why only the tip then. Might as well blur it all like dA.

Lucky you, I thought only old mangas were uncensored (below and early 2000s) and uncensored manga these days are only photoshopped ones.

Yeah, it's pretty confusing to understand the exact reasons for censoring it that way.... I think it's dumb.

Yeah, I started collecting H-mangas in 2015 when I found out about Project-H, the biggest US publisher for H-mangas. :)
They translate a lot of Japanese ones into english and do not alter any of the arts. If a work was published censored in Japan though, they won't uncensor it. But they make an effort in translating uncensored ones and I own almost all of them now. ^^ Look them up if you're interested: www.projecthentai.com/

As for Fakku Books, they started selling books recently too. They don't have many mangas in book form yet but ALL of their translated H-Mangas are uncensored and really high quality books! I own 4 of their books now and I love them. :D You can see them in the pic I shared of my shelf with them all: My hentai collection
It's the 4 biggers ones in the top left.

No problem. :)
I live in Canada and Project-H ships to me so I believe they can ship worldwide. So does Fakku.

Well, we can discuss laws in a big context. But generally the more famous hentai and doujinshi (hentai doujinshis) are pretty good at placing censor bars in places that makes them less obnoxious.

Yeah, I respect their law, it's their decision how to do stuff there .
And gotta admit there are still some works are tolerable for my eyes even though those thing have censors.

But my point here, the act of censorship there doesn't help to block our view, it's only giving us extra disturbance. For me, the good choice is either censor thing as it should be (block the genitals, and the sex process) or not at all.
Even kids can know what happened in the scenes if they accidentally found those kind of work that had half-ass job at blurring stuff.
