Symphogear What-if : Kanade Amou Lives (G Version) by riockman Symphogear What-if : Kanade Amou Lives (G Version) by riockman
I always think, how will it turned if Kanade survives that s**t from the very first episode of Symphogear.
Many people must think the same.

But you have to know, her death is the foundation of the story. If she lives on, Symphogear just felt a bit less edgy. :( (Sad)

So I just give her a little spin-off story to respect her act.
Ahem.

Kanade lives after the last Zesshou effect on the stadium but her body was wounded in horrible ways.
She left in coma, Her skins and flesh were torn apart here and there, and she is immobilized in almost entire show of the first season.
In the last battle against Finé, Kanade woke up, dragging herself into the command center of SDAU, and screams through microphone to all the gear users, to not giving up living and fighting for others sake.

In the second season, her condition is getting better, there are still scars everywhere on her body but she still have to walk with crutch for some time, and if she really has to fight, the given time limit is only two minutes.
Genjuuro is always furious at her recklessness after all she've been through. Because even though the LinKer version is better than she used, she is still the most unstable user.

GX version? Later. ;) (Wink)

I changed her hairstyle, somewhat inspired by Seo Yuzuki from Gekkan Shojo Nozaki-kun, because I always think that Kanade is some kind of a playful, somewhat annoying older sister who always cheering on her sisters and befriends them all. Love

Aaand, her hairband colors are a bit symbolic.
Dark Red (petals) = Kanade (herself)
Yellow (spots) = Hibiki
Pink (rubber) = Maria
Blue (beads) = Tsubasa

The three musketeers of Gungnir, and Tsubasa as the fourth sword.
I wonder if that makes any sense, lol. It just popped on my mind. Sweating a little...

That's really cool. I admire you taking the time to fully integrate her back into the story line. Also, any shout out to Seo Yuzuki is awesome!

Thanks! Actually those stories were popped in my head just when I try to write the picture descriptions, so everything was just a spontaneous idea that I didn't think much of.
You watch/read Gekkan Shojo too? That's cool

I actually watch a LOT of anime. Currently Symphogear is my favorite, but I'm also really enjoying Roka of the Six Braves, Ushio and Tora, Durarra! and School-Live!. What all have you been watching lately? Is there any shows you really like that you wish more people knew about? I always like asking that, it helps me find more shows.

Same here, I watch many of them, many genres, except BL themed shows.
This season I watch Bikini Warriors, Durarara, Gangsta, Gatchaman Crowds Insight(first season was awesome), Himouto Umaru-chan, Shimoneta(I wonder why this one didn't went in trending list lol), Wakaba Girl. Symphogear is still my favorite though.
Actually I want to add more, but some titles from previous season are waiting.
I also watch old animes, my senior recommended some of it and I'm expanding my fandom from those titles he gave me.

For Ushio to Tora, I think you should watch the 10-episode OVA from 1992. Certainly darker and presenting more gore .

Way a head of you, I first saw the 1992 Ushio and Tora OVA in high school on VHS, I loved it XD!

I can't believe I didn't mention Crowds or Bikini Warriors last time. They are both superb! Since you mentioned older stuff have seen any of Tatsunoko's other works, like the original Gatchaman or any of their other superhero shows? I personally recommend SoulTaker and Tekaman Blade. They are both grade A 90s awesome. Tekaman Blade is actually kind of an armored hero.

In fact, how far back do you go when say old stuff? I just finished catching up on Freezing Vibration (love your avatar) and know I'm watching the late 80s early 90s armored hero show Legendary Samurai Troopers, the one that was originally released as Ronin Warrirors in the states.

Oh, is that so? That's cool then!

Fol older Gatchaman, I didn't see them yet, but I planned to watch Tekkaman Blade later, since it was featured as playable character in early Super Robot Taisen games (dem "UOOHHHH VOLTEKKKAAA" scream).

I already finished Yoroiden Samurai Troopers just some week ago, that was awesome, but I have to be honest there are some flaws and plot holes in the story, and the OVAs didn't satisfy me much. But still it was really a superb serie that I remembered watching when I'm still a kindergartener.

For old stuff, now I'm watching Magic Knight Rayearth and it really pumps me up. Not your average magical girl. They're "knights" indeed. One of CLAMP's masterpiece (assisted by Masami Obari as the mech designer and action director, cmiiw). I'm still on the 15th and I can't believe I forget many things on that serie, like the story and characters. I watch many anime and tokusatsu heroes since I'm a little kid and I'm trying to relive their glory now (and maybe because I forgot about the story but I remembered the title lol).

For Freezing, I admit the anime is not that great (too much giving fanservice to the audience it almost wreck the suspense), but the manga was really awesome and balanced in giving fanservice, gore thingy, and plot twists.

I see, I was trying to be nice, but I did think Freezing had some problems. I spent most of the second season trying to not pull my hair out lol.

I adore Magic Knight Rayearth! I go back to it all the time. So I guess right to say would be WELCOME HOME!

Actually I love Freezing as a manga/manhwa. First I saw the anime on 2011, it's not that great(and seriously, 3:4 on screen?) then I look for the manga.
It's awesome and not fanservice heavy(yeah, what kind of straight men who doesn't like titties, but stilll if you put it too much it's not precious anymore). And I'm still not watching the Vibration one because I was glued at the manga.

Gee, Magic Knight was one of the dankest show I watched back in my kindergarten years. I even adore it more than Saint Seiya. It has cute girls wearing cool armors and swinging sharp weapons and blasting nifty magics, funny and awesome villain, character deaths, JRPG theme, light yuri flags, and gigantic robots. In one show.
But because the time has moved so far, I clearly forgot the story. So now I'm taking a happy trip back to the glory of 90s with the show.

I love it! ^^

It would be interesting to think what if she had survived? I think it would've changed a core dynamic though. Tsubasa's personality. Part of the coldness of her personality is due to the scars from Kanade's sacrifice. If she lived, how would that change Tsubasa?

Maybe Tsubasa will be more conservative in battles. As Kanade is her "tamer".

know this is a LATE reply but scars do not ruin a face, sometimes they make you badass, except for Yamcha

Well if the scar is "well placed" I think it can make people seem coolder.
