"I'm heading out now," Rouge called to Shadow as she grabbed a quick snack from the kitchen and entered the living room where he sat, hoping she could persuade her ally to come with her for once. She had learned of an underground ruin recently discovered at Holy Summit, and she fully intended to be the first treasure hunter to thoroughly explore it. She thought maybe Shadow would finally be up for joining her on this hunt, but when she had asked him the night before, he had given her his usual answer; "Not interested." Still there was no harm in asking again. "You're still welcome to join me, you know?"
When Shadow only gave a grunt of acknowledgement, she perched herself on the armrest beside him on the couch, irritated by his lack of response. She wasn't leaving until she got a straight answer out of him.
