It seems I wrote it somewhere in DA already. Presently Lake Geneva is no more called Lake Geneva, but Lac Léman (only people from Geneva call it "Lac de Genève" = Geneva Lake, French and the other swiss border don't like it to be called lake Geneva). But, if you have the opportunity to go in the Vatican gallery of paintings, there is one painting (ca 1550....) in the gallery of so called "maps of the world" where you can see (I' ve a photo of that) Lake (actually in Latin) Genevensis or Genevensiae...

Funny. I like that.
