you know that's the one bit next generation never touched on save but once in a movie with the enterprise E. that the captain had a personal yacht. and even then they armored it up with the more stronger ship. I often wondered why they'd do that when I built the model to see the enterprise D to find a piece I never saw in use. hehe

the captain's yacht looks like a  TARDIS, just let it spin! :) LOL!!

Great design. Is it an oval or disk? I rather like the idea of it being a disk, as that would be a departure from past Captain's Yachts. However it comes out in the final conception, best of luck in your endeavors. E-mail me if you wish.

I'm absolutely in love with this! It's something I've long wanted to see, being so like the Technical Manual illustrations of the Galaxy Class captain's yacht. I just love it to bits.

Is there any chance that the model is available? Just to play around with.

very nice, watching re runs of voyager right now, got a hankering to search out pics of various Captains Yachts from intrepid, galaxy, nova, sovereign and other classes. the saucer yacht from the galaxy class is OK imo, though it matches well with the look of the galaxy class, just as the yacht looks good for the intrepid class, your pic looks great, it really does though i figured the people would look a little smaller, probably just me though, later =D

Very nice! Do I see an astrogator in there (continuing the Jupiter II observations ;))?

Cool! So, based on the sheer size of the thing, is the yacht going to have quarters in it, as opposed to simply being a large elipsoid shuttle? I would expect the captain would use it for special activities and diplomatic meetings where being on the ship either wasn't practical or possible.

The only snag is that later shows got into the habit of using shuttles (or Runabouts, if it's Deep Space 9) in stories where the heroes must be stranded somewhere -- so the shuttle gets blown up or crashes.

I nearly wrecked an entire convention's Trek Q&A session once by asking just how many shuttles Voyager had. The look on Richard Arnold's face said it all: "Why the %&#@ did he have to ask THAT?!?"

Well, I figure it should at least have a bathroom partitioned off, but I haven't really thought about it. You're probably right. It is a "yacht" after all and not a shuttle. :) A comfy bunk would probably be in order.

A beauty!

Believe it or not, this thing was one of the first meshes I ever built. Of course, mine looks like crap next to yours :D

I searched and searched but could not find any others online except for a game mod I think. Did you hide yours? :)

Yup, as Madison sez - very much evokes a Trek Jupiter II due to that upper sensor blister. Looks VERY cool, all the same!! Nice work :D

Very nice idea and execution. Love the design and the small warp nacelles on the sides. Good job. Wouldn't mind taking that for a quick spin.

Nice, much like the never seen aerodyne that was the Galaxy class' yacht.

Yup, that was my goal. Sort of. Mine has the same proportions but is about half the size. Now of course the trick will be to work it into a story somewhere. =P

So where's Dr.Smith and the Robot? :-)

Sorry. But with viewport, it's the first thing that came to mind. Lopks good Almost the same shape as 1701'D's.

DANGER, WILL ROBINSON!!! :)

It's the first thing I thought of too while building it. But it made me smile so I kept it. :) Andrew Probert's painting of the D's yacht was my main reference. [link]

Looking quite interesting, seems to have minimal warp capabilities? I am also curious about the Lang Class you are talking about. Chance of seeing more of that?

I like the way you see more of the interior as well. Looking forward to more
