I've been working on this tree for over a week, I finely finished it yesterday, it has 285 strands of copper wire, each strand is almost 2 feet long, the tree stands aprox. 12 inches tall and the base is about 6 1/2 inches tall, so the whole sculpture is about 18 1/2 inches tall, I was going to add strings of glass beads to each wire but in truth it made it look cheap, so I left them off. I'm going to try to sell this on e-bay just for giggles and laughs to see how it does.
Woah... this is epic!
It's gorgeous! Think if it were me, I'd have to keep it!
Thank you so much. If I kept everything I liked I'd have no room in my house and no money in my pocket. LOL
oh my god.
So did you ever sell it, or is it still in your possession?
No, it sold a long time ago.
Well, if you ever make another sculpture with a lot of bare copper wire, I might be a buyer. I have added you to my Watch List.
Very nice. Copper and gold are my two favorite metals.
I have fallen in love with this piece. It's beautiful, very well made.
Thank you. Your group sounds great, I just don't have a lot of time right now. Thank you so much for the invite.
I am in love with this!
How did it do?
I love it! It is very pretty!
wow...thats so AWESOME!!!
I can't even begin to describe how amazing this is to me O.O just beautiful.
It's gorgeous! I love trees!
I particularly love the base.
htat would've been hard to make... but the result is so pretty!
It is quite nice - a photo with a black background would show it to best advantage, and maybe lit from the side.
awww its sooo pretty! what is the base made out of?
Thank you so much. The base is a piece of black walnut burl.
it almost looks like rock that was painted to look like wook, and you welcome!
