Adult Pokemon Fan's Stamp by RhaedaLeeMire Adult Pokemon Fan's Stamp by RhaedaLeeMire
I really should be doing more college work while I have the room to myself. But I had the urge to do something creative, and I just couldn't ignore it.

So I drew this - my first stamp, and one I've been wanting to make for a while. True, it's simple (I made in on Paint, for crying out loud,) but I'm not very skilled with digital art. At least it didn't take too long to make it.

This one's for all the people out there like me - the no-longer-teenagers who still play, watch, love, obsess over, etc. the wonderful, inspiring, joy-bringing sensation that is Pokémon. All you lucky people who fall under this category and have subscriptions can feel free to use this in your journals - just be sure to comment and/or fave first.

Always remember that you should never let others tell you you're too old for something you are truly passionate about. And if there's one thing that dA and the internet in general have taught me, it's that if you're passionate about something, odds are there's someone out there like you who feels the same way.

Now that I finally listened to the muse, hopefully I can get back to my homework. Enjoy, and feel free to drop a comment if you'd like.
~ Rhaeda

Yeah, I know what you mean. There was a time when I actually thought I was one of the very few Pokémon fans who were no longer kids, since I only knew of maybe two or three other people back in high school who still liked the series (and none of them loved it with a passion as much as I did.)
Thank goodness for the internet! :icontorchiclaplz:

Yeah, I remember that feeling. I was actually too afraid to admit I still liked Pokémon to most people (or cartoons in general, really), so coming to places like this and seeing the wide age range of fans was a relief.

19 year old fan here.

Oddly enough, it was mystery dungeon sky that kind of made me return to pokemon upon hearing it could of (and did end up having) what I felt, even as a child, pokemon was missing - a good story and good characters.

Always nice to hear. :)

Yeah, I can see where you're coming from. The PMD games really took Pokémon as a franchise to a whole new level, in my opinion - colorful and varied characters, great music, and a storyline that really reels you in and grabs you. Hopefully they'll make a new one in the next year or two.

Hah yeah, I'm shamelessly making a fan fic that is (loosly)based on the events on the second one and having fun exploring how the events change when the main hero's a bit of a douche and will happily screw anyone over to get back to the human world, but shameless idea aside, I would very much like to see a 5th gen mystery dungeon, since seeing pokemon being treated with a plot that it deserved as it did with the explorers PMD games, I'd be interested to see what they'd do with another story in a similar, yet engaging premise

YEEEES.

It seems like in elementary school, everyone was OMG POKÉMON, only to have it fizzle out in middle school and high school.

Then you get to college and everyone's got PokéWalkers. :XD:

Oh, yes, I remember those days perfectly. It was a nightmare in high school admitting that I was still into Pokémon. X'D If I'd known about dA then, it would have been easier.

Haha, glad to know I'm not the only one. :XD: I only know one other person at my college who carries his Pokéwalker with him to class.

Heeeeeeeeeeeeck yeah.

Though had it not been for Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, I'd still be an uninformed sadly Pokemon-deprived individual. Living in my sad Pokemon-deprived life of hating it simply for what I saw from the atrocious excuse for a TV show.

I see - thanks for sharing that with me, and I'm glad you got your induction into the Pokémon-verse. :) I agree - the PMD games were amazing. I've been a Pokémon fan since Blue and Red, but when I first played Time, I fell in love with it all over again. The storyline, emotions, and characters were part of what inspired me to come here in the first place so I could post my own thoughts and ideas in a fanfic.

By the way, I saw your sig, and I agree one hundred percent. Writing is art, and a beautiful one at that - it's a shame that some people don't see it that way.

Yeah, I was actually convinced to get it by the prospect of getting Mewtwo, and not having people in the game. Mewtwo was at that time, my favorite pokemon. And Frankly, the only one I liked, till I found myself utterly and hopelessly engrossed within the surprisingly engrossing storyline.
Good ol Blue Rescue Team, it's got a special place in my heart, lol.

I was actually drawn here by my growing obsession with Latias and Latios, who caught my attention in PMD with their unique relationship. As a family, unlike all the other 'loner' Legendaries.

Aaaaaaaaand started writing my own fanfic, acquired rabid fanbase, and yeah, here I am.

And yes, I've always seen literature as the lost art on DA here. When someone respects literature, to me, that says that they really are an art appreciator. Instead of the art-browser. Who looks only for something that they can gain instantaneous satisfaction by simply looking at for a second.
Literature is like a fine meal however, to be slowly unwrapped and enjoyed. And ultimately, possibly far greater than a simple picture. As it can hold emotion and heart. It can play out the natures of the characters within. A work of art, that when properly arranged, becomes a beautiful melody to be enjoyed by the mind and eyes.

Aaaaaaaand that also sounded really weird. But hey, when it's this late, that happens to me sometimes.

Pokemon is a nice distraction from the real adult world of nothing but worries and hurts ;__; Now if only we can get a profession loving pokemon I think we'd all be living in an osm world >:'D I kinda wished it'd pay college tuition though!;;

So very true - it's a fun and innocent world with awesome characters, and that's one of the reasons I love it. If only is right - a profession and college major for Pokémon would be fantastic. XD
