I lose many brain cells when reading youtube comments like that X'D
Like: How can there be 60 million views when there are only 7 million people in the world? Why is he screaming like that? Is he gay? Omg, he just said it's okay to be religious/not like religion, he's horrible. Etc.
No matter the video there is always a debate on one of the following
-Religion/Usually religion bashing, sometimes a simple comment like "God bless this post" and then atheists freak the f*ck out on it. -Racism/claiming the video is racist -Sexism/claiming the video is sexist -Homophobia/claiming the video is homophobic -Politics/ Arguing which side is better
Sometimes I like to read with candy at hand for the entertainment of it. Maybe like comments I agree with.
Ahaha yeah, I read an amusing comment 'thread' where you have your 'Christian' commenter saying something like "being gay is bad, you will all die and go to hell for supporting such thing", then someone replies "oh look, an atheist pretending to be a Christian to make Christians look bad" and that little reply made me laugh XD
Never thought of it like that but it brought a smile to my face for some reason XP
People need to make the distinction... tbh when it comes to a sect of religion. Christians are supposed to be Christ like, and Christ said love thy neighbor, with no exceptions. Catholics who go mostly by the old testament believe Homosexuality is an irredeemable sin (Which it's not, it's totally redeemable and not that big of a sin in the first place because - Jesus came).
The Catholic church believes you'll go to hell if you die before you confess all your sins, and believe in paying your way into heaven. So either the person isn't a Christian and just call themselves that (Breaking the 3rd commandment) and/or they may end up being catholic. *Shrugs* People shouting hell fire are breaking the 3rd commandment which is the ONLY unforgivable sin. If you kill god in the hearts of others (Make them hate/mistrust/fear god) it's worse than murdering that person. That's why it is irredeemable. Because it's greater than murder.
And yes ;v; that is a good thing for that person to point out xD.
Oh wow, that's really good to know! I needed to get more educated one the religious side since I personally don't like reading huge books aaaaaah ;; This really helps ;v; Sounds like the new testament is pretty awesome Cx //Wants to say more but doesn't know enough about the religion so I don't want to accidentally make an offensive comment kajdflhsd
It's no problem, and if anyone ever is shouting hellfire or damnation just tell them they are breaking the 3rd commandment which is an unforgivable sin. Will shut them up pretty fast, or should if they are actually religious xD.
Somewhat off topic - Going through old songs on youtube... like 70's songs and most of the comments are like "My late husband loved this song, in depth story about their marriage", "this was my mom's favorite song, she would play this when... in depth story of parent's habits", "My dad played this all the time, let me go into an in depth story about his life". > - > What the heck, an old song on youtube is not where you put obituaries for people yo. Just be nostalgic, no one needs to know why you feel nostalgic.
What if they start giving me a long lecture about the bible, trying to prove how I'm wrong somehow? kjdfahlsdfk XD But I guess if it's written in the book then there wouldn't be a high chance of them winning haha
Youtube is full of all types of commenters but I don't understand why people do that either, I guess they just wanted people to talk too... Theymusthavenofriends //slapped That's what I think at least LOL XDDD
None of the bible tops or trumps the 10 commandments xD. Nothing they say could contradict or prove you wrong > v >. Tell them that before their lecture, that's all that should really be said.
And agreed, Youtube though isn't the best place to talk to people when you're lonely Facebook is probably a better alternative, at least it's supposed to be a social place, where Youtube is more for debate.
