Well neither x) I hate it when people have like a whole essay in the artist comments section because then I'm like whatever I don't have time for this. On the other hand if I see a oneliner I'm kinda bored because I can't relate to the piece at all. I like a short but informing description. Like 3-6 lines are prefect. It's enough to communicate the artists thoughts and how they felt when working the piece or even how they were inspired. I know some people literally write pages in the descriptions and think it's good but it actually leads to people not reading it at all since it's too long and in my opinion not neccassary. Sometimes less is more
It doesn't bother me one way or another. If someone wants to describe the content of their art or the creation process, that's fine. If not, that's cool, too; I'll interpret things on my own, or ask questions. The only thing that I generally dislike is copy and pasting the lyrics to an entire song. Just put a link to a youtube video or something, FFS.
Well unless you wrote the song yourself, then THAT is cool! X'D You know, at first, whenever I see lyrics in the description I assume that the artist wrote it themselves then when I scroll down to see if that is true, it ends up that they were actually copy/pasted OTL Siiiigh, no original writing for songs on this site =v=
It depends on the piece for me. I like reading longer descriptions with more polished pieces, like ones that have multiple characters or backgrounds, or comics. But if it's just a silly chibi/random pose then shorts are good there.
