Well neither x)
I hate it when people have like a whole essay in the artist comments section because then I'm like whatever I don't have time for this.
On the other hand if I see a oneliner I'm kinda bored because I can't relate to the piece at all.
I like a short but informing description. Like 3-6 lines are prefect. It's enough to communicate the artists thoughts and how they felt when working the piece or even how they were inspired.
I know some people literally write pages in the descriptions and think it's good but it actually leads to people not reading it at all since it's too long and in my opinion not neccassary. Sometimes less is more ;)

Well I said for "long descriptions" I wrote "short paragraphs" Cx
That is still longer than one liners so I put it there o3o

But yeah, essay long stuff is too much for me X'D

Either way it's fine O: But it also depends on the piece hehe xD

Funny one liners make my day, and a simple paragraph makes me think about the piece more in-depth :'D
Unless if the big description is a long-ass text wall/essay like you said then, nAH. TL;DR :iconpapmingplz:

Either way is fine, but posting entire songs in the description annoys me.

I find the song lyric thing annoying too >A>
I mean, yeah the song is good but personally that's not something I would like to read UNLESS you wrote it yourself which is pretty freaking cool X'D

It doesn't bother me one way or another. If someone wants to describe the content of their art or the creation process, that's fine. If not, that's cool, too; I'll interpret things on my own, or ask questions. The only thing that I generally dislike is copy and pasting the lyrics to an entire song. Just put a link to a youtube video or something, FFS.

Agreed! Sure, maybe a line or two of lyrics, if it goes with the art, but... the whole song?? No one needs that.

Well unless you wrote the song yourself, then THAT is cool! X'D
You know, at first, whenever I see lyrics in the description I assume that the artist wrote it themselves then when I scroll down to see if that is true, it ends up that they were actually copy/pasted OTL Siiiigh, no original writing for songs on this site =v=

I like long descriptions describing the action and characters.
Process stuff doesn't really help me not being an artist and all.
Though it would help other artists, so it's nice to see it included.

Depends on the piece...just like alley said. If they do it for every single one...a huge amount, it'd get a bit overwhelming I think.

It depends on the piece for me. I like reading longer descriptions with more polished pieces, like ones that have multiple characters or backgrounds, or comics. But if it's just a silly chibi/random pose then shorts are good there.

Very true Cx
I can never really think up of good things to say for just a random chibi/pixel thing ;v;
