I've only unwatched maybe two people only because they moved their account. So technically I really unwatched two profiles because I'm still watching their new accounts.

I haven't had to unwatch a person yet, so my view isn't that of an experienced person. But if I ever had to unwatch someone it would be because they had done enough to make me irate. I am a very calm person, and when it comes to the internet I tend to completely ignore when someone insults me. So what would make me mad would be if someone I watched got a huge ego and started to harass everyone else.

If they had just insulted me I would have laughed and continued with my day, but when they start bringing down other artists around them, for no other reason to assert that they are better than everyone else, then I would unwatch. If I or anyone else has you added to their watchlist, isn't that enough? We added you because your art was so amazing we wanted to see more, not see you insult nice people.

Oh gad I'm sorry. >x< This turned into a bit of a rant.

I can't do attention whores and drama queens.
I follow this person right now, and holy fuck she's a fricking drama queen.
Shes posting journals and polls about how she's upset that her friend is calling her a boy (umm guess what, ever heard of misunderstandings???) and then is upset her friend is friends with someone she doesn't like.
She calling her friend a bitch and blocking them just for those two reasons. Dramatic much???
Then there is the attention whores who post depressing stuff just because they want attention and 80% of the time it's lies. There was someone I knew on a website called Hatena that shut town a couple years ago, who always claimed she was going to kill herself or she was cutting, and this wasn't like a couple months in between each time, it was either every week, and sometimes every day! I found bla**fi** on deviantart and she's like 18 yet she's still doing the same thing she did on Hatena. She gets upset over the littlest things
I understand that shit goes on in everyone's daily life, I know. But you don't see me talking about when my grandpa died a couple weeks ago, I kept it to myself until I calmed down. Or you don't head about me talking about how both my brothers are leaving for 2 whole years without talking except for skyping 2 times a year. I like to hear about my friends daily life, but if they are constantly saying they are going to kill themselves just because something small happened, it bothers me. There's so much more to life then depressing stuff. There's more to it than what's going on. Life is hard, it's not meant to be easy, it isn't a new smooth clean slide, it an old bumpy rusty one. It's not going to be easy, but people should cherish it no matter what.
I've gone through shit, my parents have, my siblings have, everyone has. So who ever that person is, they aren't alone. And they should know that posting stuff about killing themselves won't help, and if won't get them the attention they need. It isn't the attention they want.

I sometimes unwatch people I have watch for quite a long time but find that there styles and motives don't interest me so much anymore.
I developed a taste other than theirs and though they have improved too and sometimes are even better than me, I don't feel the need to watch them anymore ;)

if their art work no longer suits my interest (not likely, but I have unwatched people for that reason), I don't mind reduced activity or excessive activity (I just unwatch journals and polls), but if they've just LEFT then I unwatch. Normally I'm pretty patient with everything, but when they post something that goes against my core beliefs I will unwatch them.

It really depends.

One thing I can't STAND is when artists think they're better than anyone else just because their art is great. I've ran into those people before where they have no respect for others and won't even reply to say "thank you" on a deviation. Sure, if you're a busy person, I get that, but at least say thank you when you can. :T It lets us know you care.

I dislike when artists complain all the time. I try not to, I sometimes update but delete journals later but dang some artists are even too much for me. Especially when they complain "I'll never be popular" "I never get commissions, I guess people just hate my art" etc.

The other thing that bothers me is when artists put their political, social justice stuff on DA. I unwatch a lot of people because of this. The other last last thing is when artists post fetish art. I follow artists for a reason and then if they start posting big boobed, bare foot, vore, morbidly obese, or practically nude selfies I hit UNWATCH immediately. I am not into porn and fetishes, period. I'm sure they would be better off going to Furaffinity or a porn site, seriously.

Haha, I've had those moments before :'D I get over it really quickly because I know on the good side, I get to give love to my own personal OCs~
I keep seeing those types of journals go up though D: I feel bad for them at first and try to cheer them up but then it started to get repetitive and annoying. I love their art but they don't seem to see that? worst is that they don't seem to ever get over it :sighs:

And wtf DA ain't a porn site D8 I've seen those types of "artworks" in the fudging front page just...
//Nopes out of here

.. not a very active person myself so I don't mind if people take hiatuses a lot etc.. people need time for themselves.
I  sometimes do get annoyed with overly active people;; but I don't always un-watch;; usually I just un-check the little box for journals and deviations for some time;; ; v ;''

the ones I DO un- watch are rude people.. they could be the most amazing artists out there but if you're being rude towards me or other people for no reason.. I'm not really interested anymore..;;

If they start posting an abundance of stuff I don't like (like dolls or mlp or nonartistic selfies)
or if they're inactive for more than 3 months

You're comment should be featured. Man I completely agree with this. And I especially dislike when an auction has a ton of bids but they keep updating and notifying artists every 30 minutes till the auction ends in 48 hours. It's awful. As if they aren't satisfied with the bids that are already up to 100-400 dollars.

Yeah I get what you mean XD I watch a few people and groups that just posts sooooooooo many art works each day and they don't even look that good D8 Griffsnuff is okay since she's fast but still retains good quality but I find myself skipping over her every now and then :'D Just slow the hell down jsaddklfh

Re-notifications are nice if DA glitches and never placed the artwork in watcher inboxes but too much is just like: I GET IT NOW STAHP D8<
I find myself not even looking at the majority of art in my inbox these days because there is just so much of it from a single person/group Dx

when they change for the worst-
attacking others needlessly or using newfound popularity and power to bring misery to others

it's happened more times than I could count. I always end up unwatching and blocking them u_u

Those type of people hurt bad omg, I really hate that D8
But then again, people have minds of their own so sometimes a pop. artist just tells that "hey this person is tracing my artwork, report don't harrass". People just ignore that last part :'D
But yeah, there are just some people who just go out of control and say bad things about another person to the public to make their life miserable here.

I don't know if I remember anything like that happening from my experience. I've only been on here for a year or so waaaaaaah OTL

Either they're rude or egocentric, I no longer like their style, or they've basically given up on life, which pisses me off to no end. I hate when people give up

Yep, I totally agree ;v;
I'm having some up and downs with an artist right now in the "style" sense. I mean, sometimes her style appears awesome but then the next picture just looks odd to me. I dunno what to do? Ah, I still watch her anyway Cx

Oh yeah, I've had that issue. I usually wait till their style stops switching around so much, but if it really starts to bug me, I'll unwatch them and maybe check in again later to see how their art is now. Another reason I unwatch people is when they cannot have the same OC's for more than 2 weeks. I know someone whose sona changed every month. I eventually got sick of it and just said "screw it" and unwatched them. Their are it amazing, and I'm in love with their style, and they're pretty damn nice, but all the change was annoying as hell
