Lately I have been up to my eyeballs in Copic Sketch marker practice and it's either very successful or very horrible.
Tutorial after tutorial.. after tutor..i..al.. hnnnnggg...
The most difficulty I've been having with these markers is coloring large, detailed areas. I wind up having one of two problems. Either A. I get lots of lines from coloring too fast/too slow or B. I get the blotchy effect from lying down too much ink. Dark skin tones is proving to be such a challenge for me, and there are SO many pieces I want to color with dark skin tones. Deep reds and blues even for specific characters, I just can't accomplish it.
I'm not giving up, but I've been face-desking for weeks when I attempt this. I've wasted so much Blending Card..
On the bright side, I scan and make copies of my lineart so I don't have to do THAT over and over again..
If anyone has any pointers regarding large, dark, detailed areas of skin.. I'll test any theory at this point.
