This is what I'm working on right now.
Sculpted in sculpey firm over a wire armature.
I'm in the process of moulding in order to be able to produce a resin kit of it.
I'll post up the finished piece soon.

Thanks for looking,
Terry

OHHH MY GOD

This detail is incredible. I want to be able to do things like this. The scales look perfect, and I love the unique face shape.
Thanks a lot! I'm glad you like it.
If you are a sculptor too, I would just say that you have to keep practicing and in time you will develop your skills and find it easier to get the results you're looking for....good luck!

amazing!! may i ask how did you do the texture?
It's very impressive bravo !!!!
Thanks,
The textures are achieved in various ways but basically all the scales were individually carved in the skin surface with a small wire loop tool. I used a solvent brushed over the surface of the sculpt to help smooth out any rough edges.

Thanks you very much for answering me!
it's really look like  dinausor_snake texture. It's realy impressive
Thanks, I'm glad you like it.
I did use a lot of photo reference of reptile skin as reference when I was sculpting this.

If I might ask, how much sculpey do you have invested in this (over the wire)?
I can't remember the exact amount of sculpey I used on this sculpt, but I'd estimate around three blocks. I added a lot of bulk to the torso by building it up with tin foil first. Good luck with your project!

That's great, I'll look forward to seeing how you get on with super sculpey!

I've been experimenting with the foil as a frame. I'm having a ball with it.
