I'm sincerely sorry to announce the passing of Adrasil, on April 27th, 2025. He and I would communicate often, several times a day while he was actively "drafting" (as he preferred to call it) and several time a week when it was my turn to produce the writing. We were on a bit of a sabbatical while I was pursuing a tangentially-related project for Delta Dynamics, the name for our collaborative team-up, but he was already recovering from his second heart attack in thirteen months and had announced his "retirement" from DeviantArt, as he worked on his recovery. I suspect he suffered a third sometime around April 6th. He was a crew chief in the United States Air Force during the seventies. He is survived by one brother and preceded by another. Fair winds and following seas, my friend. You are missed.

(Click on the headline itself to read the full post.) Delta Dynamics' LCARS site is back up and ready for business. What happened? When the site went offline in October, it coincided with the development of our next journal issue, #309 "Guardian class Interceptor.” To get DDLCARS back online, I first needed to update four personal wikis to the same PHP settings this site now required. This process, I’m embarrassed to say, took months to resolve. Despite Adrasil and I not being coders, we opted not to hire PHP, MediaWiki, and WordPress specialists because he said it wasn't in our budget (Note: FY2023 was...$0.47). However, it was a valuable learning experience – I gained knowledge about PHP, MySQL databases, WordPress structure, and MediaWiki error resolution and that allowed me to clear the last hurdle today. Work is now underway again on issue #309 and we've posted a new gallery for Adrasil's enhanced take on the Horizon class cruiser that first appeared in Spaceflight Chronology.

Primary drafts of images for the WWIII-era Guardian interceptor, flown by the USAF—and physical predecessor to the post-Contact Verne survey cruiser—have just been completed for SRM Report #309. The issue is due out in early September. In the meantime, Delta Dynamics’ website has had a makeover and we’ve opened the doors, as of this morning. The usual URL (http://starshiptracker.com/deltadynamics) will redirect you to the new version, done in the LCARS format. The first 18 issues have been posted with all of Adrasil’s orthos and blueprints provided, as well as the journal narrative in a searchable format. Additional materials (such as specs and ship names) from the PDF issues will be added to the reports over time and the PDFs themselves are prominently displayed (for downloading) at the top of each report page. Also, essays (both by myself and guest writer Kevin Thomas) have their own section and the Addendum button will take
