Description
Due to bad weather, which was approaching a storm, Zid and Zniw were forced to interrupt their important journey and find shelter from it, fortunately they found a small cave where they could wait out the bad weather. The storm began and had been going on for several hours and did not think of abating, and then the duo of yellow dinosaurs realized that they would have to spend the night in this cave until the storm passed.
With all their capabilities, they arranged the cave more or less for their overnight stay, but since it was still daytime (in their memory before the storm) and they did not want to sleep, Zid and Zniw decided to talk to each other to while away the time and get to know each other better. Of course, they managed to get to know each other a little better during their journey, but they still had something to learn about each other. And sitting down, they began to talk about each other.
Zniw started first and Zid learned about her life in the city of Wajapulka, about her family and about her adventure that began because of the search for a gift for her mother on the day of hatching. Zid listened to her with pleasure and he especially liked the story about her adventure.
Now it was his turn to tell about himself. He wanted to start, but something stopped him and he realized that he saw a happy Zniw and he really did not want to disturb her with sad moments from his life, so he decided to omit them. He talked about his happy moments of life in the forests of Magmosia, about his mentor Macrobius, and his journey where he returned a baby Daspletosaurus named Kidd to his family. Zniw also listened to him with pleasure and she especially liked the story about his journey with Kidd, but she also noticed that he omitted some details in the story about himself and this made her have questions. At first she tried to ask him gently under the guise of clarifying some points in his stories about himself, but he tried to slyly extricate himself from her questions and as a result, they started an argument.
Zid could not stand this argument and angrily said all the details that he kept silent about when telling about himself. He lost his mother when he was still a small child and does not know where she is, and also does not know anything about his father, that when he became an orphan no one wanted to adopt him (or even shelter him) and he had to learn to survive on his own (although Macrobius helped him when he could), he had no friends (not counting Macrobius) and even when he grew up and could be useful, the inhabitants of Magmosia did not treat him as one of them. When Zid said all this he noticed that Zniw was upset and shocked at the same time, his anger began to go away, and shame and sadness came in its place, he apologized to her and could not look at her because of the shame in front of her, he said that he kept silent about them because he did not want to see her sad, but he failed and now he was ashamed of it.
But he did not know that Zniw's shock and sadness were not caused by Zid's behavior, but by what she found out. She could not believe that no one took in a small child and that even when he grew up and could help the villagers, they did not consider him one of them and that he had no friends. She noticed that he was sad and he apologized to her for his behavior, then she realized what she had to do.
She stood up and went to him, Zid noticed this and also stood up. When she approached him, he wanted to say something, but did not have time because Zniw hugged him at that very hour. Zid did not expect this. Although he enjoyed her hugs, he also noticed that she was sad. He asked her why she was sad, to which she replied that she was sad because what happened to him was unfair, and although she could not fix it, she would do what few did for him, namely to show that she cared about what happened to him and therefore she would be sad for him.
Here Zid hugged Zniw trying to calm her down and telling her not to be sad because of him and that he had already managed to survive it and move on, but she was adamant and insisted on continuing to do it, even if she cried because she really cared about him. Zid wanted to object, but knowing Zniw's stubbornness, it would escalate into an argument in which she would still do what she was doing now.
He eventually agreed to let her do it, but on the condition that while she was sad for him and hugging him, he would hug her too. She agreed to this. And so time passed, and Zniw hugged Zid and sadness showed him that she cared about him, Zid also hugged her, although at the same time he had conflicting feelings and thoughts. On the one hand, he was glad to know that Zniw really cared and worried about him, but on the other hand, he did not want to see her so sad, even if he deserved such a sign of care for him.
