I had no idea how to do the title animation properly until it was almost too late. All other ideas I had were way too complex and it would have taken me longer than a month. Additionally, February was just awful as far as time was concerned.
Finally, with one week left in February, I recalled this animation that I did long ago and I went with it and accidentally created way too many frames.
And then, I had something like 500 frames to edit... and that took me another week. There still are some mistakes in there, but I really can't be bothered to fix them.
Anyway, because there are a lot of frames in this GIF, I decided to publish two versions of it. This one, the main version, is only 480p so that hopefully, it doesn't lag. The final product in 720p HD can be viewed in my Scraps.
Tell me what you think and what kind of thing you'd like to see in the future.

I also really like how the 'A' and 'Red Book' are highlighted and spell out 'A Red Book'. Because this is an adventure about a red book and not a blue one. It's a nice touch.Thank you! The typography was something that was rather important to me.
There seems to be a few frame glitches here or there, but that could just be on my end. It also seems to be pretty jumpy when the text slides out of the frame.Given that there are over 500 frames, glitches are to be expected, even with the optimisation and the resizing. As far as I know, there aren't any glitches. I might be wrong, but I went over everything trice.
It's a bit slow to uncover everything, and because of this is a little hard to stay interested all the way through. Perhaps speeding up the animation a bit could hold audience focus better? Or perhaps revealing more of the letters with each paper.... floaty-around-the-screen thingy? I'm professional, I know.Yup. Working on it!
The animation seems quite smooth overall - there were a couple of very slight pauses throughout but not too many, and that may have just been my PC playing up (it does that a lot!).This is not unlikely, not because your PC isn't good enough to handle it, but because over 500 frames is simply too much for a GIF.
I think perhaps it might be a little bit too slow in pace - I don't think the book should be sped up, as it's the exact speed I think it should be, but rather it might work better if the book is revealing more of the lettering each time it flies over. It might work fine anyway when the whole thing is put together, but it's just a thought. I'd be interested to view the whole piece when it's done!I'm in the process of combining several sheets falling at the same time, thus reducing the total time of the animation significantly. It's going to take me a while, but it'll fit into the video as a whole a lot better, after all, I can't have it be half of the animation!
One more suggestion for improvement: I think the way the text slides off screen is nice, but I'd like to see you try having the letters falling off page several at a time. I think this could work really well as it links the letters to being like pages in a book, which would fit your overall theme. It would also be a slower pace, which I think would really suit the pace of the flying book. That does sound good and I'll think about it. I have to fix the sliding part anyway.
Anyway it's really cool, and it definitely makes me want to watch the rest!I'm glad I could interest you enough to make you watch two segments! I just hope I can keep this up.
