This has a wonderful, almost Klimt-like feel...not copying him, just chanelling the same energy flow. The color alone just makes me smile...

Yeah the curls on her hair and the fire (made of curls) work great together... really nice :) (Smile)
buecax-stock Featured By Owner Jul 4, 2003
the girl looks very firey indeed but the flame in her hand (is that what it is?) is not really convincing...

and why is her eye purple?

good work nevertheless

Heart Heart Heart Heart Heart AWESOMEY! I really love the way you've drawn her hand highlighted by the flame - the colors are so smooth and awesome throughout!

Yep, and all of you would just be jealous to know I've seen the actual piece... in person, and I might be the eventual owner of it... But thats between me and myth... discussion in progress... I like it, my hair now almost matches that... haha. well shorter. I don't know if someone could outbid me on this one. hehe

OK I mangaged to scroll down w/o seeing any other comments. My first comment is "oh, pastels, right on!" I like the stylized drawing style you used on this drawing, it works well with your subject. I also like the way her hand and arm leads the eye into the drawing, it's a nice touch. Your color scheme matches your subject well, and you did a nice job of establishing a focal point while keeping your drawing asymetrically balanced. I wish there was a bit more negative space, it's a little busy. With everthing going on with her hair you almost could have left the background blank or with just a simple layer or 2 of color. Other than that it's a well drawn pastel.

MMm, fire. Much diggage on the composition and the colors. For a one hour piece this is seriously kicking some ass. Yes, I know I sound Californian. Meh. Blame Dae. But the shading on her body is gorgeous.

ravenlunatic Featured By Owner May 10, 2003
This is great; has a real warmth to it, which is appropriate considering the fiery nature of it! Lovely lighting on her face, it has that kind of warm glow you get with illumination from fire.
Plus she's a redhead ;) (Wink)

Ahh very nice. I really like the feel of the picture but...the hair. It seems out of place. Its just not as "soft" as the rest. But I still like it!
