The color in this piece is amazing! I just started with pastels this weekend and was searching for what others are doing with them. Wonderful piece! Brandi

Yeah, it does look like water...maybe you could've added more white and grey to it to make it more like air...but it's still good!

There's so much movement and flow in the pices such as this that you have created. I adore the softness of the blending which compliments the bold, bright and beautiful colours. There's very vibrant and exciting and you feel as though you could dip your fingers into the colour swirls.

And I am very much in love with her expression. +fav

She is a bit watery because the blues are a little too dark to be air in areas. Overly I think she is very lovely and quite beautiful.

beautiful. i love how h\you made her skin look soft and supple (did i spell that right?) this piece is very dynamic, lots of moving lines, very, very good. although, i would have to say does it does look more like water than air. probably that scribbly lines around her hair and body suggested foaming water more than it did air. but still this is good stuff, especially since it was done traditionally.

good work!

more power,

I like it, but the look on her face is kinda sad, it ruins it a bit for me. If you are an element you should be happy about it ;P

Looks like air to me... with her hair how it is...

Absolutely beautiful! Great job =D (Big Grin)

Oh, I love this. The swirls of the hair convey air quite well - but her face looks a bit "drowned" & lets me think of water...

You definately have talent though, I'll have a closer look at your portfolio some time soon.

beautiful colours, very flowy like :) (Smile) it'll be interesting to see what you'll do for water to make sure they don't look too alike

Comes close to the first time any anime has made Featured Deviation. But it isn't really anime, and it is too original to be anime anyway. The color scheme kicks ass.

very beautiful... i have just begun w/ pastels... you make it look so easy!
lovely work +fav
arcane-angelicum Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2003
Simply beautiful, I love the angle of her face. I do agree, however, that it seems more like a water spirit than air... but it's still lovely.
vegeta2711 Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2003
Oi. My bad, I actually meant to put somewhat like. Sorry. ^^;
encore Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2003
hmm it's beautiful, but you're right, it does make one think of water... air, I think, should be based on white and grey tones, and just tiny bits of light blue or light purple so that it doesn't look boring. still, it's a really good picture, it flows nicely :) (Smile)

Your art has such a mystical flow to it.. This is so gorgeous.. i love the colors and her face.. beautifuul!!
disorted Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2003
I think it looks like air... it's the lighter tones of blue that do it for me... For water, darker blues and more crazed hair (seeing as pure gravity is absent) would be more fitting :P (Lick)

Overall, the pic is gorgeous! I

I def. suggest you work on your anatomy a bit, the arm bends and curves very oddly with no real bone structure past the inner arm. Forearm NEEDS some sort of elbow joint otherwise you get the stringy/curvy effect shown. Her head almost looks disconnected from the actual body based on the positioning of the two. And finally a question, is she hunched over? Looking at the general body it seems that way, just wondering.

The colors do looks very nice though and flow really well. Props on that.

So soft and gorgeous and blueeeeeeeeeeee and spirally... Heart Heart Heart
sesshy Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2003
Beautiful picture - I thought it was water as well ^^; Probably because of all the dark blues and all that. Usually air is really light blue or a light slate blue or light purple. Like clouds ^^ But it looks very smooth and it's amazing that that's charcoal.
antigonie Featured By Owner Jul 2, 2003   Writer
wow! This is nifty ^_____^

what can I say? very smooth and flowing, air can be really hard to draw like this (i know, i've tried) i think you did good tho ^^

nice work

This is a beautiful picture. I love the flowing feeling from it and the way her hair leads you around the picture. 0_0 The tones and colors are so beautiful. I also LOVE how you drew her face and her posture, it all just goes together well. Excellent, I'll be on the look out for the next two.
