"The Retroids" are artists that focus on 80's and 90's video games, cartoons, comics and pop culture art. This event will have food, drink, art contests and a cosplay contest! Original artwork will be for sale as well as prints! Hope to see you there. -J.P. Perez, Mark Gil Perez, Patrick Alan Towers.

The band BFunk20XX will be playing at the event, as well! They are a hybrid-chiptunes band utilizing analog instruments atop compositions made with retro video game hardware and supercool sound effects from classic video games. They have an album coming soon!

Rules:
Artwork must be gaming-related and the game must be from the 80’s or 90’s.
The art piece can not be adult-themed. No nudity or extreme violence/gore. Violent content must be cartoonish in nature.
Accepted art mediums include: pencil drawings, pen and ink, acrylic and oil paintings, oil pastels, scratch board, colored pencils/markers, sculptures and Digital work. Digital work must be in printed form and artist must provide digital file on a portable memory device (USB drive) to show work. Example of file types are .PSD, .AI, etc.

Process:
The Retroid artists (Mark Gil Perez and JP Perez) will judge the pieces. Guest judges will be Jason Green Childs and John "Hex" Carter.
We are judging on creativity, technical skills, and how well the artist followed the rules.
You will have up to 5 minutes to talk about your piece in front of the judges.

Rules:
- Character must be from the 80’s or 90’s. Must be from a video game, American cartoon or Anime from those decades.
This contest is rated “E” for everybody. The costume can not be too revealing. That goes for both the ladies and the fellas.
Feel free to use whatever materials you’d like. Express your creativity!
There is absolutely no real weapons allowed. That means no guns, knives, rocket launchers or giant battle swords!

Process:
- It’s a Battle Royal!
Strictly crowd participation on this one. Ballots will be handed out to all crowd participants wanting to vote.
