Welp, here we are 2023, another year gone, another incoming. So time to get a bit introspective. Well I can say for one it wasn't one of my better years. I mean not god-awful like 2020, but I ran into a lot of minor misfortune. If you've followed my previous journals you'll know I lost my car earlier in the year to car thieves and sadly they've yet to be found which means my car is gone completely and utterly. I mean it wasn't in the most perfect shape: Radiator was bad and need to be replaced, there was a clicking sound in the engine that was worrying me, the steering was messed up in a previous accident that made the car hard to turn and there was a dent on the side from said accident. But regardless, it was still my car, still tough and running and I was hoping to get it repaired and updated. But alas I was denied and now, well, the journey to get a car of my own is in motion. Considering how long it may take, I get the feeling I'll likely be in my 40s by then, but we'll

Just when I'm getting over Kevin Conroy death last week, another of my childhood idols has likewise gone into the great beyond. What makes this sting even more is that they say it was suicide. Good lord, That's never great to hear and you hate to see it happen. The guy was a major idol to many back then, the green ranger saga is iconic in pop culture, one of my memories in 5th grade was the kids talking about the show, who the white ranger was when they got to that point, being so excited for the movie and absolutely loving the character. Even though I grew out of the series (I passed over MMPR S3, Zeo and the first half of Turbo), I did catch Forever Red when it was first broadcast And any time he would show back up in PR media would always make me smile. Heck the dude reprised the role for a Street Fighter tie in for the mobile game, that was awesome! Alas now...I just have no words for it. Such a tragic end, at the least I pray he finds solace.
