I really like how practical this design is.
The hoodie looks hella comfy and roomy.

BTW, I LOVE mixing different styles together like this. One of my last ones was Chinese inspired casual wear.

This is my Chinese inspired casual wear. The top is a hoodie vest that has a double zipper. The design is inspired by cloisonne pots.

This was Kpop meets Bollywood meets forest folk clothing LOL I had fun with this one.

This was Jrock meets aristocrat meets African American hairstyle (microbraids).

I adore Bollywood fashion and for some reason that day I had it in my head that I wanted to add some henna in the look somehow. I'd never done henna before so I researched the patterns like crazy for that drawing. Research research research. Sometimes I think I research for more time than I take to draw the outfit haha!

I love designing fashion too although I usually design fashion for men. I love this outfit but I think to make it more practical the obi would have to be easier to put on. Usually the obi's have to be tied on my someone else from the back. A suggestion to make this practical for casual wear where someone could put this on themselves would be to make it one piece that could be connected in the back or front with magnets or little hooks like you see on bras. I think the magnets would look best and be hidden under the fabric. I've seen magnets used for button up shirts. They are quite strong so it would definitely stay on unless you deliberately take it off yourself.

Why does Rei Rei look so angry? XD She needs to smile with an awesome hoodie like that. Would you mind if I designed a male version of this hoodie or even a Chinese or Korean inspired hoodie? I would link to this submission of course ^_^

Oh yeah, I was thinking something like the hook things that are used for bras, since I have a corset that does something like that! I've never heard of the magnets before, though, but that sounds a lot easier and nicer, especially if they're strong enough to stay there. There would also be a zipper hidden under the crossing of the front so it could be worn without the obi.

lksmgkl AHAH. And sure thing if you'd like, as long as there's a link! And thank you so much for the input! I'd be happy to hear anything else, since I'm not very good at thinking of how to put things together in a practical sense, haha...

Well, when I got into designing clothes I really took inspiration from Jrock and Japanese street fashion stuff. Everything from Oshare-kei to Elegant Gothic Lolita/Aristocrat or Baby doll lolita. I started buying up magazines such as Gothic and Lolita Bible magazine which is a huge magazine that's releases like 4 issues a year? It's full of fashion. Then I would also buy Shock and Arena 37c magazines which are for Jrock and Jpop. When i was in China I bought some Cpop magazines and some Kpop things. Looking at that stuff gave me a good idea of what is deemed as fashionable there as well as the mechanics of how the clothes look and wear on a person. I also went online and favorited a lot of Japanese clothing stores such as Black Peace Now, Sexpot Revenge, Baby the stars shine bright, Moi Dix Mois, etc. I even bought Japanese hair style magazines heh. All in all I have over 100 magazines and I will occasionally skim through them for fashion ideas. They are a rich source for inspiration. Anywho, I've been in need of an idea for something to draw. This should be fun. I'd love to incorporate this into men's fashion or even do a SUPER cute one for girl's fashion.

Oh my gosh, that's so much! It sounds amazing though, I'd love to have that kind of collection since I just love looking at different kinds of fashion... And I'd love to see it in a men's fashion (i love making men's fashion myself but it's a lot harder for me to make things look masculine enough with some designs for some reason 6_9), and AHA I actually had a few ideas in mind for making a much cuter one too! Be sure to link me whatever you do, I'd love to see it!
