Over the last five or six years, when I've rented a book from the library that I've really liked, I've drawn a simple, b&w bookmark for it, and left it in the book.

There's not a lot of them out there, but at least five or six now.  I have no idea who will see them next, or what happens to them.  I usually add a note on the back to please leave them in the book, but who knows?

It's just fun for me.  Plus I have a nice, themed bookmark while I read it, til I return it.

So, have any of you ever done this?  No?  Inspired to do it?

Best wishes!

It's always on the middle of something I'm trying to see!  Or read.  Very bad.

That is all.

It occurs to me that I should have said this on the 1st, but in all the fuss of getting things up and running ... I, er, kinda forgot.

So sorry!

But Hey!  You can see the first few pages of every issue posted here each month.  Or you can read it as each book is posted online by going HERE!

All my thanks!  If you like it, please tweet, blog, or post about it. I'd like to see 50 RSS subscribers before the end of 2011.

Just a quick little ol'update to let everyone know that I'll be doing a bi-weekly webcomic for the next year or so.  Aaaaand, as luck would have it, I am also suddenly in the position of living part time in Port Angeles with no internet connection beyond the library.  Gah!  That shall challenge my goal of uploading a new comic every 1st and 15th, but hey, I'll figure something out.  I'm sure.

Best to all!

Just a quick note to say that I won't be taking any commissions for a while.  I'm going to be way to busy for a bit.  Which is good.  But sad for my colored pencils!

In the meanwhile, have the happiest of holidays!

Hey!  How ya doing?

I should make a brief introduction, followed by a brief explanation.

I am Teresa Susan Challender, and I am working primarily as a amateur Fantasy and Sci Fi artist.  However, I used to be known as Teri Sue Wood, who was a professional Comic Book Artist back in the 90s.  So should you see doubles of my work in your searches under different DA accounts, well, that’s because I’ll be keeping both sites active for a while yet.  To help avoid confusion.  As I was known as “Teri S. Wood, the comic book artist” for 15 years, and the shift is not going to be an easy one.

For those of you going, “Wha...???”  My brief explanation.

My mother’s husband, who named me, was a butt-head.  He’s since passed away.  And I am pretty sure he wasn’t my birth father, so ... I changed my name.  The first half because it’s prettier, and the original “Teri Sue” came from a horse’s name that Mr. Wood was betting on at the time ... which leaves no sentimental reason for keeping it.  And the last name is after my cousin Jatina's dad, Bill Challender, who has taken me in and done everything short of adopting me.  And since he gave me his blessing in taking his last  name, I’ve done it legally.  Though I did give myself almost five years to think about it first -- to be sure it wasn’t just a passing fancy.

And so, I am now The Resa!  Glad to meet ya.  Feel free to drop by any time, pour yourself a cup of tea and look around.  You’re always welcome!

PS: My website is still listed under my old name, but I’m working to switch that over.  Forwards will be continued from the old url to the new one for at least a good year to come.  Same with email.

COMMISSIONS!
If you're looking for an artist for your project, I'm quite affordable.  Please check my commissions page for more information.

Also, I'm particularly interested in doing work for amateur writers of science fiction or fantasy.  If you're looking for cover art to submit with your story, please consider me.
