{ENFJ-A | Lawful Good}

Seren is energetic and extroverted in nature, kindling her blaze for expressiveness among her peers. She believes there is a great capacity for strength and courage to be found within one’s heart, for her bravery and resilience are rooted within her own. It is not unlike Seren to be straightforward and honest. Unafraid- or perhaps simply unbothered by how her words might be received. She puts confidence in speaking her truth, allowing her emotions to be read with ease.

The fiery she-wolf carries with her a strong comprehension for emotional intelligence, though it's not something she gives herself enough credit for. She is a compassionate and lighthearted being at her core, and possesses a deep love and devotion to her people, always seeking to understand and aid those around her. In a realm where darkness thrives and destroys, Seren pursues the light for hope and seeks moments in life that bring out a laugh, smile, or a bit of fun. For the sake of her own sanity, she strives to make the best of a life wrought with pain and struggle.

Nevertheless, Seren is not immune to the irritants of existence and possesses a quick temper with the capability to demonstrate great anger. True rage can be blinding when it strikes true for the she-wolf, though it takes an extreme circumstance to provoke such high emotions. Such as betrayal, death, or deceit. However, the same is not to be said about the more tame nature of her temper, as triggers to minor aggravations emit themselves much more calmly. The little things don’t tend to harbor too much fire behind them, but nonetheless, some fire there will be. On a daily basis, it can jump out through mild annoyance or irritation. Perhaps through a glare, a witty insult, or depending on who it is, a totally playful smack upside the head. She enjoys fiery banter with wolvenkind familiar to her, and oftentimes her apparent “agitation” is just a pretense for humor.

She does not view the softness within oneself as a weakness, but rather as a danger. Her training has taught her to reserve the gentle and warm parts of her nature behind a thick callus in the presence of evil. She turns cold and hardened to protect herself and her fellow factionmates, so that they may continue to fight for the noble cause. Seren understands that magic breeds mayhem, and it is Stonehaven who will create order among the chaos, therefore adhering to its ways is of utmost importance for success, strength, and survival. Violence is a necessary means to an end.

Seren’s loyalty to Stonehaven runs deeply within the she-wolf. Her upbringing under their care taught her to rise in strength, and Seren is who she is today because of them. She is fiercely dedicated to their mission to cure magic and evil from the lands. United as one is the only way to restore order, or the island will forever be filled with savages and chaos otherwise. Additionally, due to the absence of a parental figure and a lack of close relationships growing up, Seren bears a strong yearning for connection and belonging.

    | Shattered Connections

In the summer month that followed the Death of Osirus, Seren was a child born to the fragile fractures that rippled across Tundes. The same fractures that would eventually shatter life with a family she had so little time to know. But for a time, there was an element of tranquility within the family, despite the horrors beyond. Through her mother, Seren’s emotional health was fostered warmly. She taught her to follow her heart, express her feelings freely, and encouraged compassion. Life could be a beautiful thing, and it was important to do good by it.

When the Tundes finally split, a grave quarrel broke out between the couple, one that resulted in shouts and snarls that turned into a grapple over the frightened pup. However, the dispute was brought to a swift resolution when a misdirected flurry of teeth grazed the surface of Seren’s face. She could remember the warm touch of her mother’s tongue across her wounds, and when that comfort withdrew, never to return again.

Seren’s mother had deserted their family to join the Kol. Though a pup as young as she could not understand what this meant. She did not understand why her mother left, nor why she didn’t return. All she knew was to cry for her mother. The child pleaded to be heard as her father carried her away with the travelers that would soon be known as Taika, and the pup wept until she could not weep anymore.

During this shift of time, Seren did not receive the reassurance or comfort she needed from her father, for he was distant, and buried in his duties to aid the new clan. This lack of emotional support broke the child’s spirit, and as summer drifted into the cusp of autumn, the pup grew disinterested in eating and speaking. Her father became distraught over the state of his child and grew increasingly overwhelmed with the responsibilities of fatherhood. And so, when the water across the island turned poisonous, and the health of his pup continued deteriorating, Seren’s father could no longer bear the burden of caring for the child.

    | Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door |

A distant weary howl attracts the attention of a morning Stonehaven patrol. Steadfast in their duty, the Haveners are prompt to investigate the source, but what they find there was the least expected of all. For it was not the grown wolf who sounded the call, but a small pup shivering against a cold standing stone. She was weak, frail, and unkempt, soiled from dirt and dew of the morn. A hurried search for the other wolf proved itself to be fruitless, and the child was declared abandoned.

Seren was brought back to Sanctum where the Menders made an assessment of her health and malnourishment, and it was believed that she was deserted on Stonehaven borders so that she may be given the best chance at life. For it was their waters alone that remained untouched from the blight that cursed the other clans. The circumstance of her arrival remained curious speculation, however. How strange it was for a mysterious pup to be left for them. How odd it was that the caretaker did not remain, and though Seren answered their questions to the best of her ability, they were never quite satisfactory.

    | The Shift |

With winter on the horizon, Seren was swiftly assigned to a guardian with a heavy emphasis to urgently strengthen the young one’s health, for the bitter cold of Stonehaven’s land would be no friend to the weak. Though alas, there was not enough time, and upon winter’s arrival, Seren contracted an illness that would last through the biting winter. She developed heavy fevers and agonizing coughs, with chills that would shake her entire body. She spent the whole winter in danger of succumbing to the illness, rarely being allowed to move from her place of rest, lest it stole her breath away. With spring came the first sign of hope, and ever so slowly the symptoms of her ailment lessened. It was then that she was finally healthy enough to begin her indoctrination into Stonehaven. The youth was an eager learner, for the restoration of her strength brought with it new light and vibrancy to life unlike any other.

Though despite that brightness, time would reveal more darkness as Stonehaven educated her more about the world and the magic within it. As Seren aged, she gained a newfound outlook on her past. She grew to resent her parents, especially her mother for joining the wicked Kol. They abandoned her, and any of the love she remembers is remembered with indifference. Her mother became a savage, and her father a coward. Fools they were.

| End of the Line |

Seren’s winter crisis and lack of weight held her back from progressing in rank with the other youths, and it was not until the end of fall that she was finally permitted to pursue her desired task of becoming a Keeper. Now, as a late bloomer Seren is determined more than ever to prove her worth to the clan while she embarks on a journey for self-discovery and purpose.
