Hi Rene, I am getting a sugar skull tattoo done at the end of July, and want one designed for me. Is that the sort of thing you can do?

Just wondering, why'd you choose that as your theme? Looks great by the way.

I'm not sure what you mean by theme, as it's a renowned holiday that has existed for a long time. Unless you mean why I chose to draw it, well, I enjoy the art and makeup of the Day of the Dead holiday, and so I decided to paint it :) And thankyou!

Yep, that's what I meant, why you chose to draw it. I know about it as a holiday, my family celebrates it, but I guess I referred to it as a theme because that's the college art class in me, where we would address "themes" or "aesthetics" of artwork we'd look at. Sorry for the mix up. How long have you been drawing? I'm asking cause I saw that you said you're around 18 or something, and I gotta say, you're extremely talented. I wish I had your skills, I've enjoyed looking at all your pieces.

Thankyou for elaborating! And thanks, well I have been drawing ever since I could hold a pen, so probably when I was around 3 or 4. Glad you enjoy my works!

Damn! That is crazy!!! Well it's paid off. Look forward to more of your artwork.

Nice, I'm not normally a fan of digital art, but this is really well done, especially the hand. :)

Thanks, well, initially I didn't want the hand in there. But I decided to add it in, and for the perfect reference, I took a photo of my own hand with the same lighting conditions. I wouldn't have been able to draw it otherwise :O

Yeah I have trouble drawing body parts without a reference too :) I think the hand adds something...not sure what, makes the image more sensitive somehow?

You're so right, brings out her emotion in some way I think. And references are the best way to learn, I don't draw without one. Usually X3
