It's been awhile since I've been active here on DA. Been going through some rather tough times here in Remy Land. Last November or so, I had to end up selling my digital art tablet to keep myself afloat financially. It was one of the hardest things that I've ever had to do.
Between then and now, I've been going off and on through severe states of depression. Nothing extreme enough to harm myself, so no worries. Just long periods of time in which I feel a bit numb to the world and everything that I normally like doing, including working on artwork.
Here recently in the last week or so, though, I've found that sketching on my train rides in from work helps to pass the time. I can't do anything digitally, but I can still do hand sketches. It's the first time in months that I've really felt like doing so. I don't know why all of a sudden I do feel like it. My life's more stressful than it ever has been ever. I suppose it's a good escape for me right after a long day of work.
Anyway, I'm going to start uploading some of my hand sketches. They're nowhere near as impressive as my digital work, but hopefully you guys like it none the less. I know one day, I'll return to the world of digital art, but for now, like the title says, it's back to my roots.
