Way too many people (especially kids) on here ask customers for adopts and commissions to pay using Friends and Family on Paypal - to avoid the seller fee and make it easier on both parties as money is sent as a gift.

Well, stop doing that. You're gonna get reported to Paypal (I personally won't unless someone is extremely stupidly stubborn or knowingly skirts the rules), and you're gonna get your funds frozen - or worse, if something happens where your customer needs a refund and you don't comply, you'll get the wrath of the community on your back. You may even get your funds frozen for seemingly no reason based on suspicion from Paypal directly - if you constantly get funds via F&F, they WILL look into that, and find out your shit.

By asking for service payment via Friends and Family, you're doing 3 things:

1. Screwing customers out of Buyer's Protection in case something happens or an item isn't received. Now, I know most of you AREN'T that douchebag who scams people on purpose, but Buyer's Protection gives both of you the right to appeal in case either side has something go wrong. In Friends and Family, there is no documentation or agreement to prove that a sale was made.

2. Screwing Paypal out of a service fee. Yeah, it sucks only getting part of your money in the end - but you're using an otherwise free platform that needs to make money somehow, and instead of ads or premium memberships, or forcing you to pay taxes, they do this through fees.

3. Going against the site's Terms of Service, which they can freeze your account and take your money hostage for. You're literally breaking the rules you agreed to when you signed up for a Paypal account. As previously stated, if Paypal notices all your transfers via F&F, they will look into it, and will cut you off when they realize what you're doing to skirt the fees.

And if you end up making more than $2000 in income from sales, which is taxed at this point, asking for Friends and Family transfers is against the law as well, since you're legally supposed to be treated as a business and report those funds on your taxes.

TL;DR, don't try to get the easy way out. Just add the few-cents fee to your adopt price if you want the full amount, my dudes.
