Quiet As [Mouse TF]
Lacey Taylor sat in her booth, grinding her teeth. She knew she looked divine in her slinky black dress and glistening pearl necklace. The band were decent enough but she was not overly keen on the singer.
Tonight's entertainment was a local girl by the name of Mercedes Beaumont. The golden haired beauty swayed to the rhythm as she sang. Those in the know amongst the local music scene were saying that the songstress was poised to be the next Amy Winehouse but Lacey did not think much of her and her cover of a Jeff Buckley song. The way she re-imagined the song into some horrendous R&B abomination by singing like a diva meant it lost all of its meaning and poignancy. It frustrated Lacey how the presumptuous tart would dare to cover this song but she sat there suffering through the performance. And then came the Bowie cover. It was that which really irritated Lacey.

Chocobo Racer [FFVII / TF]Cloud held the chocobo reins tightly. Just one more race and he could free his friend but it would be the most difficult one yet. Still, there was so much riding on this last race.
It was hard for him to believe how a simple break from the humdrum of the Strife Delivery Service could go so wrong. He and his friends had great memories of the city-sized amusement park the Gold Saucer. Cloud especially liked to reminisce about his date with Tifa there, so it was a given that their reunion would take place there. They’d all enjoyed seeing each other again. Cait Sith and Red seemed happy to entertain the many kids at the themepark that were in awe at the strange appearances. Even the grumpy Cid and distant Vincent Valentine were in somewhat good moods. They’d even brought their partners, Shera and Lucretia, along too, surprising everyone. Thankfully, they were all lucky enough not to get imprisoned with Cloud and the others in the deserted town below.
It was all thanks to Yuffie
