both on youtube and on deviant art, I find about 80% of viewers do not read descriptions. people ask questions that are already answered, or leave comments that are clearly asked to not leave. *coughdib'scouchcough*
today just miffed me so much, I had to make this. here is a comment I received on youtube on my narration of "muffins:"
"I puked 10 times by watching this! I needed a bowl! I do not read the description you could of put something there that said this is not for kids! I am 9!"
here is the description on the video written on date of upload, july 19, 2013, UNCHANGED:
"a my little pony fanfic based on the creepypasta, cupcakes! why's it called muffins?? yooooooou'll seeeeeeeee.... THIS IS NOT FOR CHILDREN... unless you meant to listen to it knowing exactly what it was... you know what i'm trying to say"
"THIS IS NOT FOR CHILDREN." "I do not read the description?" really? unless that 9 year old was actually some teenage douche being a troll, there should be no reason to not know that it wasn't for kids. plus, honestly? puked 10 times? when I was 9, I never puked when watching horror movies. I'd get nauseous, I mean come on, I'm not superwoman, but to claim to puke 10 times over something that was not as gorey as cupcakes (let's face it, the first muffins doesn't compare to cupcakes) is asenine. and maybe the first time you puked, you should've... what's that word... stopped? the first sentence contained the word "victim," the second sentence began as, "it had been about two weeks since she had killed rainbow dash," AND the video's picture is of pinkie and Derpy advancing on candy mane with a hacksaw and knife. there was absolutely no way NOT to know it was going to be violent.
I know there are a LOT of kids on the internet, and I'm sure some of my subscribers are kids, but I've never gotten a complaint. why? either because the kids know what to expect from me, or they're smart enough to identify the first signs of "I shouldn't watch this." I'm a foul mouth, horror loving, yaoi obsessed, manic depressive 23 year old that doesn't hide herself. frankly, kids should know that youtube is full of stuff that's a bit more on the mature side, so if you're going to get into it, know what you're getting into.
on DA and youtube, whether it's me or not, never leave a comment asking a question or anything like that without checking the description to see if it's been answered. personally, 8 times out of 10, my questions are answered in the uploader's description.
and I love my reitannites, but a good chunk of you definitely don't read my descriptions...
And then they wonder why I get so pissy and snarky at them in response when they ask a stupid question.
If they took the time to read, then any simple question they had could of already been answered.
I hate it when someone comments on something I've put out and they clearly haven't read the description -_-
why the f*ck is a 9 year old on the internet unsupervised anyway?
Oh well Some people just don't know how to read descriptions or warnings I guess.
So I have yeah they maybe dumb but at least they know what 'code red and blue' means
Kids those days they're getting more dumber
Second, kids these days.
Third, by any chance could I use this?
Please and thank you~
((By the way, I read the full description on this one. I usually do read descriptions but there are other things that I would like to do but when I finally decide to read it is when I do. Sometimes I scroll to see if the artist does have a description and sometimes they don't.))
And I face palm when people don't. I'm sorry people are like that, really.
