Hawkpaw's mother Risingflame is a feisty, skilled warrior descending from a family known for their ginger pelts and striking yellow eyes. She was strong and charismatic, not really considering anything about love. On the other hand, Eagleleap was a kind and gentle tom who wasn't the best at hunting or fighting. He rathered helping out the medicine cat when he could and only hunted when he was told to. Though the two were completely different, they became fast friends and clung to each other through thick-and-thin. Without realizing it, the two fell in love (though they couldn't admit it). Risingflame loved how sweet and helpful Eagle was, meanwhile Rising's charismatic demeanour made Eagle feel like he could do what he wanted without judgment. Risingflame helped Eagle in areas he struggled in, meanwhile Eagleleap helped Risingflame be more patient and compassionate. They helped each other out, and the longer they were together, the harder the two fell for each other. They rarely argued, and when Risingflame finally asked if the two wanted to court, Eagle immediately said yes. Having kits was something the two didn't think about until later when they were talking about how adorable a recent litter was. Eagleleap was nervous when the kits finally came, but Risingflame reassured him that everything would be fine. 

Hawk still misses her father and only sister, wishing they could have formed a stronger bond. She gets a bit feisty when they're brought up, as deep-down she feels guilty for not getting to know the two before they journeyed to Starclan. Learning the ropes as the medicine cat apprentice has been interesting, for sure. Hawkpaw has no troubles learning the herbs, but she still gets emotional and childish. She's made even more friends and hopes to keep her friend count growing. Her mother cheers her on in the background. On the other hand, however, her relationship with Applepaw is only decreasing further. He seems to get angrier and angrier whenever he sees Hawkpaw, to the point where Hawkpaw has given up on trying to reason with him. She now tries to focus more on her duties, and a good thing too! She has to help many cats, apprentices and warriors alike who have been injured. Though she's learning a lot, the small apprentice seems to be getting tenser. Soon enough, her skills were put to the test. A fellow apprentice, Seapaw, had been badly injured after falling into a torrent river. Her back legs was hurt and her eye was nearly invisible through the blood. With words of encouragement from Sea's mentor, Hawkpaw tended to her wounds as best she could. Not too long after, though, Hawkpaw realised Seapaw was blind in her injured eye. This crushed Hawkpaw's confidence for a while. She couldn't dwell on it for too long, though, because another apprentice was in peril. Redpaw was covered in tiny thorn scratches, and his jaw was clearly broken. Hawkpaw tended to him as gently as she could, not without getting kicked in the stomach by  him. Luckily enough, she didn't have too many busy days like that afterwords. PoppyPlume would help her with harder tasks, and quiz her skills often. If he wasn't around, the other medicine cat, TroutTail, would help her instead.This peaceful era allowed Hawk some time to get comfortible, with more time to relax. Unfortunitely, though, it didn't last for long. One cold winter afternood, Hawkpaw and PoppyPlume were searching for any herbs that survived the cold. Hawkpaw was several meters away from her mentor when a loud crack rang through the forest. Not thinking much of it, Hawkpaw continued sifting through some grass, when PoppyPlume called out to her. She understood too late what had happened, and, before she knew it, PuppyPlume had pushed her as far away as he could. The wind was knocked out of the small apprentice and when she coaught her breath, she realised something. PoppyPlume still hadn't spoke. The little molly looked up to see an old tree, and, underneath it, her mentor. By the time TroutTail had found the two, Hawk was shivering and cold to the touch, meanwhile PoppyPlume was already gone. It took a long while to pry the apprentice off of him, and even longer to persuade her back to camp. TroutTail took over as Hawk's mentor, though she still missed PoppyPlume. The little molly continued learning, her demeanor not changing much. She's still friendly and childish towards others, though, something seems different when she's alone. What happens next? Well, that's only in the paws of time...
