A Memorable Moment
Although he only spent six and a half months with us, Boss taught me a lot, and it is a struggle to only share one memorable moment, as now that I look back, they all were. Boss had a heart murmur, but despite his condition, he continued to exceed expectations. He never grew tired and loved to work. Boss had a very open-minded personality and loved to love. On February 11th, 2017, I took him on a walk, which ended up being his last. He stayed near me the whole way to the park, at a slow pace; for once, low on energy. I had brought the tennis ball, although he was never into fetching. When we reached the small park, I sat down and just rolled the ball a bit ways from me, something I did on the second day of him being home. It took him a while, observing the mildly sunny day and looking at me occasionally. I had about given up with the idea of fetch, when he went over and grabbed the tennis ball, bringing it back to me. He dropped it in my lap and sat, staring at me.
