Here's the inked version of the John Carter and Dejah Thoris piece I posted a few weeks ago [link] .
For those of you who were asking for a hi-res version to try inking yourself, you can download it in the link below. Also, if anyone wants the hi-res version of the inks to take a shot at coloring, those are also below.
Coloring this will be quite a challenge, so if anyone tries it, I'd love to see what you come up with!

I doubt the movie could be even half as awesome as this piece! I love the details you added to their accoutrements, like the rearing thoat emblem. And those swords seem to be an obvious nod to Frazetta's covers.
I know they'd be less iconic if accurately potato-shaped, but the spherical moons still bother me a bit.

Mars's moons aren't round?! I had no idea! I was paying so much attention to the details of Burrough's fictional Mars (the moss on the ground, John Carter's connection with thoat-training)that I didn't even think to check out the details of the real place!

I'm not even sure they knew the shape of the moons back in Burrougs' day, he described them if they were normal-looking if I remember right. For a guy that put a bunch of purple prose down about the setting you'd think he'd have mentioned the lumpy-looking moons if it were something generally known at the time.
I noticed the "vegetation" and wondered what kind of yellow they'd be colored. A lot of people seem to forget that he covered the ground with that spongy stuff and just draw badlands-esque Martian landscapes. Burroughs' Mars may have been dying, but it definitely wasn't dead!

Actually, the moss was just in the dead sea bottoms. The highlands were rocky with giant crystals sticking out of the ground ;)

Burroughs wasn't exactly consistent, though. There are plenty of details that were really important in one book, but then completely forgotten in another. That's part of what makes it fun, though, because he was surprising even himself!

True. Consistency is not really something you read pulps for, anyways. Forget trying to untangle all the contradictory stuff in The Shadow's run, for instance. I've just learned to accept it as part of any long-running series, especially if there are other media adaptations.

Glad you like it! I'm actually working on a colored version right now, but it's taking a long-ass time because of all the tiny little details...

Good job! While I'm mainly a Conan fan, I've always had soft spot for John Mars and Barsoom.
