Gacha Imps - Nagayuki (#310 - 2/4)

"What would you do if you had a tiny clone of yourself in your paws right now?" Carran asked, glancing over to the other imp.

"W-what kind of question is that?" Nagayuki replied, confused by the given question, "How'd it even be possible in the first place?"

"It's a hypothetical, a what-if scenario." the Riptide said, shifting to lay on the grass more comfortably, "I don't know, you went to Niel's lab, he zapped you, and received the clone. Just answer it."

"Is that even possible in the first place?" the Gremlin mused, "Has science gone too far?"

Seriously, had it not been for his insomnia, Carran would've been already snoozing. But counting fuzzy sheep or listening to chirping crickets didn't seem to work, regretfully.

"Ughhh, do you need to overcomplicate this, Five?" Carran grunted, closing his eyes, "For the sake of this, yes, it is possible."

"Oh, well, in that case..."  Nagayuki hummed, making a pause before continuing, "I think I'd torture it."

"Why would you do that?!" the Riptide nearly shouted, temporarily hushing the ever-present crickets.

"Well, it's not me, so I can do whatever I want with it." the Gremlin reasoned, marvelling at the starry skies, "The possibilities are endless, but I'd torture it first to see how far I can go."

"The clone is literally you!" Carran argued, "That's basically advanced self-harm!"

"No, it's not 'literally' me." Nagayuki patiently explained, "It doesn't have the same memories and experiences as I've had."

Carran felt his frustration getting the better of him, but he refused to back down.

"You can't be serious; it's a perfect copy of you!" the Riptide said, wildly gesturing in air, "It has all of your memories and experiences! And you'd still want to harm it?!"

The hypothetical was quickly derailed into discussion if clones were perfect copies of the original beings. Carran firmly believed that it was the case, while Nagayuki argued against it. He claimed that it didn't live through the same exact circumstances. Therefore, they weren't perfect copies and eligible to be tortured for fun.
"I'm done with this!" Carran huffed, rolling onto his side, "No more clone hypotheticals!"

"Not even ones discussing if it's ethical to torture them?" Nagayuki wondered, clearly playing dumb at this point.

"Keep your bloodthirsty fantasies to yourself!" he grumbled, "Ughhh, now I'm too angry to fall alseep, darn it!"

That was the worst stargazing trip, ever.
