Nice style. This map seems to follow the traditional Russian color scheme? (I mean the colors chosen for the countries.)

It's a wonderfull map, but russian occupied regions (Transnistria, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Nagorno-Karabagh) of independent sovereign countries (Republic Moldova, Georgia, Azerbaidjan), should not be on this map, as if they would hold real statehood !

They are de facto independent and the countries who hold the areas de jure are not able to exercise sovereignty there. I feel that including them would give the most descriptive map. By including them on the map I have not decided whether their claim to statehood is valid.

This map should not be seen as a political statement.

You don't have a label on Bosnia and Herzegovina, I had to look up Sarajevo to remind myself what country it was the capitol of. Other than that, it is a truly beautiful map, lovingly done. I congratulate you on all your hard work on this gorgeous piece.

Really fine map! Like the detail that you've chosen the "all or none" approach with the non-recognized de-facto independent states and gone with the former. I guess the Sovereign Military Order of Malta would the only one missing, and perhaps Sealand, but then again, you can't get all you wish for. XD Great map nonetheless! :)

Cool map but I wouldn't have added Abhkazia and such. Also, Finnish regions needs some update.

I choose to include the unrecognized countries (Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Transniestria, North Cyprus and Kosova) since these are de facto independent. If one were only to take recognized countries into account the question will arise just how recognized a country should be before it is worthy of inclusion. For instance Kosova is only recognized by roughly half of the other states of the world.

As for the Finnish regions I can only admit that I know nothing about them and that the blame for any inaccuracies lies with the provider of my data. I would be happy if you could give me some hints as to what is wrong with them.

Sealand is de facto independent too, as well as my micronation. The government doesn't have much control of my room.

And yes, there propably aren't any good maps of them there, expect the one on the Wikipedia pages, which have also the lines of historical provinces and the coats of arms. I removed those from it: th01.deviantart.net/fs70/PRE/f… Mainly just some border changes and such.

This map is indeed awesome! Very detailled and beautiful!

A mistake I see in Germany is that you wrote Koln, but it must be Köln.
I´m not sure if you wanna use the English or original names,
so actually Munich would be München.

Also the Zugspitze would be important to add.

Another thing is, you must name the city in Switzerland "Zürich".

This is not meant bad, just wanna help!

Wonderful map, but you made some little mistakes concerning Germany^^ Frankfurt and Stuttgart do not even have 1,000,000 inhabitants ;) And I would have also included the Zugspitze, Germany's highest mountain.

But nevertheless, this IS an awesome work^^
