This is the first time in a while Iv'e done artwork for fanfics that I've written. Where as Gang Of Four was a story that was intended to have a clear arc, this was an ongoing story done more for laughs. I have no idea how long the series is going to get. The story already clocks in at 11 chapters, and there are at least two more on the way.
This also the first time in a while Iv'e drawn a few of my original characters.
The two OC's in this piece make a few appearances throughout the story.
First there is Michael "Mike" Levin, a Burbank native. He is the on set director who has to put up with the Warners antics when filming their shorts. He's willing to put up with some zaniness when it benefits the quality of the short. With his eagerness to keep production moving and no nonsense attitude, most shorts under his direction always end up great. The only price is his anxiety and stress levels.
Then there is Ed Wheaton. Originally from Essex, UK, he's a professional cameraman that would rather film for some of Warner Bros larger blockbusters of the decade, but for the time being, he stuck doing these TV shorts. And he could honestly care less, as he a result he's not as tolerable of the Warners antics. Despite this, he always tries to get the best shots whenever he can, even if it is for a project he doesn't like.
The two of them often end up working together despite their love-hate acquaintanceship.
This was drawn tradtionally with ink, but colored in and edited with Affinty Photo.
The link to the original story is here if anyone is somewhat interested:
The lineart is so clean and I can tell it probably took you a lot of time to finish this piece. There's so many characters on the drawing and I love the way you shade your artwork. You got the character's original style so correctly, I almost thought this is an official poster or something! <3
Your art in general brings back a lot of childhood memories.
Your cartoony style has a lot of expression and movement.
I was so in love with the Animaniacs cartoon and the SNES videogame.
It has an outstanding amount of clever written episodes and jokes and every 90s popculture or poltical stuff gets spoofed: Barney the dino,Power Rangers,Friends, Saddam Hussein)
This is fantastic! Right away I am lifted and thrown back straight in the 90's of my childhood! You have captured the very spirit that mad the Animaniacs what they were while at the same time maintaining your own art style. Amazing work!
