The atmosphere is really well done, I like the pastel tones of it. My only suggestion, if I could make one - rotate the planet to match the light source of the rising sun.
That's all of the telescope details. I do have my own equipment that I use (Orion 5" Refractor & 6" Reflector, Orion Skyview Pro Mount & Tripod, Canon T3i DSLR), but the skies over my home are overcast for the rest of the week and there's limited time to view the supernova before it fades away over the rest of the week. So I purchased some telescope time at an online observatory.
Yeah, there are plenty of color cameras out there that are specifically designed for astrophotography and capture light in the entire visible spectrum and even beginning IR wavelengths for commercial/private use. The whole "narrowband" color palettes from telescopes such as hubble were originally introduced for research purposes I believe and isn't the only way to view deep space objects. Monochromatic camera setups also exist, where red/green/blue filters are used to capture those specific color ranges and are then reassembled into composite color images.
