OK. This is the perfect time for this. Set up on a tripod. Put your favorite xmas lights on a table, the floor, whatever. Nice high ISO. Set for a few seconds (these were five.) Set timer or use remote. Fire away. Rotate the zoom while exposing. There you go. I find it is better to rotate in such a way as you don't reach the end until the time is almost up. So, five seconds of exposure, about four seconds to rotate through the zoom range. Have fun! :D
