Still-Life-3-23-19

I picked up One Drawing a Day by Veronica Lawlor from the library a few weeks ago and have been sketching frequently since. I'm still not practicing as much as I would like to but I am making progress. I was afraid a book like this might become a distraction from the kind of drawing I want to be doing, but instead it's helping me retrain my hands and eyes, and it has also helped me regain my confidence in myself and my skills. 

This particular sketch is a still life from the Day 1 lesson, it was my first time sketching with a calligraphy pen and nibs. The proportions were holding together very well until I got in a hurry around the time I started sketching the stuffed dragon.
