I've created the Sketchbook section on my DeviantArt page for a specific purpose: I want aspiring artists to have a concrete idea about just how much practice one needs to become an accomplished artist, and how much planning is beneficial to the creation of works of art. When I was younger I sketched and doodled in notebooks and composition books before I finally acquired serious sketchbooks in high school. Even though I practiced sketching quite a bit as a child it was never much emphasized in my junior and senior high school art classes.
