Samurai Edge -in progress-

This is my custom ID wallet with badge and card, and my Beretta M92F. I am trying to make Wesker's Samurai Edge. The grips and slide from the official Edge came up on ebay here so i got them. As i am in the UK and dont have a license to have an airsoft gun that looks realistic, i had to buy the 2 tone Beretta which i got here: [link] I have been working on it and have encountered a few problems. Firstly the grips. The left hand side goes on as the photo, however there is a slight gap. The right hand side wont go on at all because the holes in the grips dont match up to the holes in the gun (for some reason the right side grip has the top hole lower down than the left side, if it was the same then it would fit) so i will either have to get a new hole drilled into the gun that is tapered so it will hold a screw in or just glue it on or something which i dont really want to have to do

You will probably also notice that the slide is not on correctly. This is the second issue. The blue one that came with it when i try to put it back on the slide pulls back with the spring like its suppost to. When i put on the STARS one however it doesnt and i cant get it to go on at all. I can get one side almost on which is shown in the pic however the other side is way out. I dont know how im going to get this to go on..

If i can then i am going to be painting the frame silver and am trying to get a laser to look like Wesker's RE5 Edge. Additional rails however (i have a RIS rail coming) need to have the trigger guard removed so it adds there, this gun however doesnt seem to be able to have it removed. I didnt expect to have any problems with this but its not being easy. The slide particuarly is annoying me now, i just cant see how to get it on if it wont pull back like its ment to


Even though its not right i wanted to post this just now anyway. Hopefully i can somehow get the slide to go on.. Would be helpful if i had a license so i could buy the proper silver Tokyo Marui one that i was almost about to buy before i found out about the license thing.. I would get one if it wasnt such a stupid way of getting one. This gun isnt quite right though i hope i can somehow get it to work..



Edit: I now know why the slide wont fit.. The original Edge was a gas powered gun and this is spring powered so the internals are totally different which is why the gun wont pull back with this slide. I am now in the process of buying the correct gun, just checking with them first to confirm that Tokyo Marui upgrades will fit it before i go ahead and buy it. Its a clear one so i can legally buy it without a license. Is alot more expensive but is about my only option now. Really hope my parts will fit the gas one, they should do. If so then there should be no fitting problems and i will just need to spray it silver, add my parts and it will be done
