The Movies Meet Anniversary Short Strip

-Dr. Nerdnik and the other doctor (from the Koopzilla episode) from the Super Mario Bros. Super Show, and Professor Von Schlemmer from AoStH, as background characters.

-Mama Luigi pose in part 2. He's not smiling doing it and hard to notice, but it's there.

Okay, so getting on track, it's been over a year since I posted the final page of this comic, and whereas I always had this special in mind; I figured it'd be best to save it later to commemorate. Now this is made for humor, and I'm all for poking fun at my own writing. I will say; whatever plot holes this may seemingly bring up- I say just dig deeper and speculate for yourself why I went with what I did.

For this wacky strip I wanted to show some one off villains in the style of these universes. Wario and Waluigi were a given. Wario's colors were obvious, but I considered his coloring from the instruction manual of Super Mario Land 2 with red overalls, but I chalk that up to the red print only format of the book. I had to get wonky with Waluigi. I knew if Luigi in this universe were so different then so must Wally. I was about to go with Luigi's "Wrecking Crew" color scheme for him, but then I remembered the Super Show episode "Plumbers Academy" with the Wario look-a-like and the tall figure next to him and went that way. I did keep the blue boots and a pink symbol from the Wrecking Crew outfit. No one said he had to look good.XD Eggman Nega is one of few Sonic villains and I don't recall seeing a classic take so that was that. I also wanted to have someone tell Knuckles he needs to replace Sonic's tv, but Knuckles wouldn't have had the chance to break it if they came back right away, so I had to nix that.XD

Now! For some trivia of the comic as a whole!

-Yoshi was originally going to be given gloves. I wanted to make him different, and his arms were colored orange in Super Mario World, but my sister didn't understand this idea. I figured he already had a classic version anyway, but it was hard for me to decide if I should use the DiC version. Gloved Yoshi can be seen in the sketches below.

-the ending of the story was thought of, but not finalized as I began part one. Early on, I mentioned the direction I ended up taking to my sister --saying that everything would reset at the end- and it wasn't met favorably. Context; I suppose got her to change her tune for when I actually finished it. I do not; however, endorse starting a comic without knowing how to end it. Sometimes that can work, but I wouldn't trust it mostly.

-I sketched out the panels for all but the final 20 pages. I even contemplated adding more characters to the final action scenes notably the female ones, but I didn't want excess. I kinda had to wing the action, I figured. A page of my panel drawing/scripting is featured in my sketches, and there were at least 30.

-Page 4 got cut off with Mario's face sadly. I wasn't in the mood to re-scan it and got away with it, but the complete face is shown at the end of the sketches below.

The Reznors were four brothers who found the stones and used their power to search time and space. They looked for meaning and took many valuables along the way. The radiating energy from the stones did transform them in a sense. It enhanced their longevity, strength, and durability. They did end up time traveling for so long their bodies would be considered centuries old; however, due to lack of muscle movement relying on teleporting, their muscles atrophied. -Strong enough to support their frames, but too weak to carry them in an efficient manner. Their time in their travels required them to constantly touch the stones and have their minds in unison; this resulted in their very identities being slurred amongst themselves and resulted in a sort of singular consciousness. After some time, they decided they could alter the future by conquering the lands of the time they were born in. Wanting to try a new approach and fearing they could not keep the stones away from newcomers when they had to sleep (and even their sleep was in unison); they hid the stones away so no one would take them themselves when they were unsuspecting and relied on subjugating other dinosaurs to carry them to new lands. When they returned from their excursion they discovered they didn't hide the stones aa well as they thought. But given their durability they had little contest setting up... their own Establishment.
