Grammar. Get some.

I'm finding more and more that I can barely read other peoples comments on Deviant Art. Everyone is starting to sound like a 15 year old female aim user. What the hell is "*glomps*"???? A) whatever the hell it is, it sounds gross and B) don't do it to me.

There is something to be said for typing with capitals, proper punctuation, less spelling errors and words that are in the dictionary. It's called a normal sentence. And then there are the people who swear every 4th word in their descriptions. Are those words REALLY that necessary to put your point into words? There are so many things that piss me off about people who cannot understand that grammar has been around since before they were born and that it should be respected.

Maybe I'm just "too professional"? Is there such a thing? I'm not really that professional. I work in a large office building, I dress up for work every day, I say please and thank you NO MATTER WHAT, and I'm polite. I guess I just come here and it makes me angry that I can't make sense of some of the comments I get, or some of the comments I read on the pieces that make it to the Daily Top Favourites. I often wonder if these people even go to school. Either that, or it's quite obvious that the education systems just do not give a damn anymore.

I've said my piece.

I think you meant fewer spelling errors. ;)

Excellent wallpaper.

ooooooo... I like this shot. Beautifully crisp - nice concept. I've been experimenting with a similar idea, but so far I haven't been happy with the result. Watch this space. ;)

Hear, hear! I completely agree with you. Taking ~seeknow's comment into consideration, I'll make sure that what I'm about to say is perfectly clear.

If you're American, Canadian, or English learn proper grammar and spelling. Why make yourself look like an idiot? Just learn your language. I'm not asking you to learn Swahili or anything. Just your language. The one you were born into. Is that too much to ask?

I'm a little bit anal when it comes to grammar, puncuation, and semantics. I believe in doing anything (even speaking or writing) to the best of your abilities.

So, good call! I'll be using this wallpaper.

thank you for using my wallpaper :)

I do agree with you - I'm anal about it too, but only with certain people. I think it's more American/Canadians that do it. And then any other person who is learning english picks it up too. Like a lot of Oriental/Asian people talk like 15 year old AOL users - because that's the english they're learning on the internet. Sometimes you can't even tell that they're from Asia! The Brittish aren't so bad. They just use funny words for different things, but that's because that's their slang.

Oops, i am guilty of horrible grammar. One thing to remember though is that DA is very much an international site with people coming from many different countries. I think a lot of us are just doing our best to be understood in a foreign language.

As for the wallpaper...
I love the font you used and the colours but just what IS that book?? Zombies in Hollywood? Sounds interesting:)

Well, see it's okay that you're not so good with grammar, because you're from Sweden :D I'll agree that DA is a very international site, however, for the amount of Americans/Canadians on here, a good chunk of them can't even speak their own language properly. The stupid thing is that they don't even know HOW to write correctly.

Thank you for liking the wallpaper :) The book... well, it's called "The Vampire Omnibus", and it has a bunch of excerpts and short stories from different Vampire stories. It categorizes them into things like humor, movies, novels, and others. It's a fairly large book. So yeah, I think that page was the "Son of Dracula" page. lol

I have to agree on some level.
