www.kickstarter.com/projects/r…The Reckless Heroes design artwork in a kind of maverick way that only the truly reckless among you would understand.
Hailing from the Midlands, Reckless Hero was set up in 2012 to bring comic art to your homes and body. You will find the Reckless Hero drawing and chatting at most comicons so look out for our banner and come and say "Hi".
Here's a few words from our illustrator, Chris Imber, on the design process and his influences:
"I start with a concept either from a source that I have been influenced by or something that just pops into my head. Then I consider layouts and what would work best. I then start the sketching process, refining the design as I go. I then ink the pencils in a traditional comic way. The design is then passed onto Chris Jenkins. If it is a single colour design the inks are cleaned up ready for printing, if it's a coloured design the colours are layered up in Photoshop ready for the printers.
Growing up I have been strongly influenced by the comic art of Jamie Hewlett, Chris Bachalo, Joe Madureira, Humberto Ramos and also Jim Lee's graphic style. I try to fuse traditional comic imagery with a cartoony almost graffiti style dealing with slightly exaggerated proportions."
