The next morning, Jade woke up with a start. She hadn't fallen asleep until almost midnight the night before, and as she was walking back to bed last night, she could have sworn she heard a sound. A sound that seemed like an arrow hitting a target. But that couldn't be... what kind of person would be able to do archery? Especially when Griselda would have such a fit. "She might as well be a security guard," Jade had thought. "Grizela doesn't like any kind of damage."

Jade opened the door of her room with a yawn, and blinked rapidly. Buried in the wall across from her dorm room was a shimmering arrow.

Note: I'm thinking of the dorms sort of like this: they are grouped together in the entryway, sort of, and then the entryway leads to the common room/ main room.

A girl with bright blue hair peeked out of her own room and gave a loud groan. "Not again.. I hope nobody's around, I really didn't mean to do that.."

Then, as if on cue, she noticed Jade and she forced her expression into a strained smile. "Uh.... hi... don't suppose you saw anything...."

Jade rubbed her eyes and looked at the arrow in the wall again. "Just that arrow, really. And is it me, or.." Jade extended her hand towards the arrow and could sense the magical energy coming from it. "It's magical..."

The girl seemed to be panicking. Her mouth fell open and she made the arrow disappear. "It isn't what it looked like... and don't we have to go to class, anyway?" she seemed a bit drained but Jade thought nothing of it until she stumbled over to the couch, which was the only piece of furniture up at the moment, and sat down in it with a sigh of relief.

Jade shrugged and adjusted the strap of her top. "It's not for another half hour. Plus, you look kind of worn out.." she waved her hand and there was a strong breeze that, strangely enough, didn't bother the girl. A thick burst of leaves flew in from the open window, and Jade carefully used her magic to cover up the cracks in the wall using those leaves. "It'll be a bit conspicuous compared to how it normally looks, but I think it'll work."

The girl looked Jade up and down. "I'll be right back." With that, the girl disappeared into her room.. and Vitia came out of hers.

"Great," Jade muttered. "One minute there's a new friend, and now there's her.. I can't wait to see this.." she grabbed her bag and marched out to grab some air (and some breakfast).

Meanwhile..

Vitia turned around and noticed the clump of leaves on the wall. She adjusted the bracelet on her wrist. "What the...?" She poked the clump of leaves with her finger while the mysterious girl from earlier watched silently. It wasn't like she could be invisible, just.. stealthy. But since she was still kind of exhausted from earlier, she tripped on a box on the floor of her room.. and fell on the ground. She yelled, which wasn't very stealthy. Then a rock came soaring through the slightly open door and blasted the lock into pieces of metal, followed by a girl with blonde hair marching through the door and relaxing slightly when she saw who was sitting on the ground.

Artemis picked a granola bar from her bag and held it out. Vitia took it and looked the girl up and down. "You were the cause of those leaves over there?" she said, gesturing with the granola bar in her hand.

A moment later, Artemis stiffened. "I'm not the cause of the leaves on the wall. That other girl is.."

Vitia dropped the granola bar on the floor and quickly picked it up again. "Jade? That girl put the leaves on the wall?"

Artemis held her hands up in the universal sign for 'dude, chill out.' "Yeah, I guess so. Now, do you want to go to the Dining Hall? We should eat before class."

Vitia looked Artemis up and down and nodded. "Anything simple." then she walked out of the dorm room.

"Yikes, girl," Artemis muttered. "What'd I ever do to you?"

Jade looked up from her textbook and looked around the cafeteria. She wondered where her roommates had gone. That was when she noticed a mysterious figure standing- rather, floating- outside one of the windows on the other side of the cafeteria. The girl touched a finger to the window and disappeared, leaving a thin trail of pollution that quickly snuck its way through the two-inch gaps in the windowpane on each side a split second after Jade looked away.

The fairy went back to reading her book, but closed it a minute later. She shouldered her bag and stormed past a girl with purple hair and bright blue eyes, trying to hold back tears. One of Jade's tears landed on the girl's finger, and she stared at it. Crying.. showing emotion.. was weakness where she came from. But apparently it was just the opposite here- showing emotion was not only accepted, but encouraged.

The girl took a deep breath. "Come on, Lo," she whispered. "Get a handle on yourself. Just find out what's wrong with her, and then you can go back to your normal life."

Lo smoothed her bag and walked out after Jade, only to stop short as thin veins of pollution wound their way around Jade's arms and legs. Jade struggled in panic, but the pollution tightened its grip on the fairy, making her cry out. "AH!"

Lo's hands went into fists. She had heard stories of torture from her cousin Madelinne. An evil wizard torturing an innocent soul, breaking their spirit for no reason. Other than the person being innocent, to ruin someone. She stormed in front of Jade and cast a spell. Orbs of water appeared, floating around the pollution. The pollution was sucked inside the water orbs, little by little, until there was nothing but faint grey lines on Jade where it had once been.

"How dare you attack an innocent being!" Lo yelled. "She has done nothing wrong, she has committed no evil."

Jade winced. How wrong the girl was.. she knew. She had committed many evils, many crimes. 'But I can't let anyone know about all the things I did wrong,' she thought. So she stayed silent, waiting. Lo walked over to Jade and helped her stand up straight.

"You alright?" Lo said. She rubbed a wipe on the thin lines on Jade's arms and soon they were gone completely. Lo's expression remained calm and impassive, even as Jade blinked back tears and the two of them slowly walked back to Jade's dorm room.

I'm glad you like it!

And I bet Jade would appreciate that hug, go and guess who was the cause of that pollution. ;p It's kind of a secret though, for the moment..

I'll keep it a secret since I don't want to spoil in-case I guess right but I have a sneaking suspicion xD
I can't wait for the next chapter, I'd even love to see this made into comic form like the Winx Club official comics. It's seriously, really good and very entertaining.
