Echoes - Sonic ForcesLight from a streetlamp flickered onto the broken and abandoned cars that littered the street.
A red shoe stepped into the light followed by a blue hedgehog, Sonic. His gaze swept over the street. His ear perked up at a loud shot, head whipping toward the sound with eyes wide and pupils shrunk.
Quieter shots and screams came from behind a slope. People ran down the hill with cops behind them. Two flying robots followed but were immediately shot down.
He watched them, they seemed to be fine, no more were following them; but behind that hill seemed to be where the trouble was.
As the crowd ran down the slope Sonic walked the other way casually stepping around everyone. His hands pulled into light fists, his lips pulled into a glare.
Soon he was left alone with the voices of his friends that echoed in his mind.
The voices told him that they believed in him; that he was their hero, their inspiration; that he’d always win. Lastly his own voice echoed the words he’d heard so long
Come Back (Rewritten Sonic 06 scene)Staring across the balcony at the purple sky, Elise took in a shaky breath and slowly let it out.
The round stone platform where she stood was where it all began, where Eggman had attacked her and where she’d met Sonic when he came to the rescue. Now that time was collapsing it was the only piece of her home left.
“We’re ready, princess,” Silver said from behind her.
She turned around, gaze sweeping over the only other eight left living. They were friends, rivals, and enemies, all joined together in a last ditch effort to save everything…
Her gaze fell to the center where Sonic’s lifeless body lay surrounded by the seven emeralds they’d all went out to collect.
…to save him.
As she stepped toward him she could feel their stares on her, waiting for her, counting on her. Reaching Sonic tears filled her eyes, a cruel reminder that she’d already failed everyone once.
