Hey there everyone! Hope that everything is going well with you! And long time no post!
I have been very busy these last few months, what with having surgery and all of that.
First I want to discuss my surgery. On January 25 this year, I had a serious surgery to remove a reoccurring and problematic abscess under my left arm. At first, the surgeon thought it would only take about 30 minutes to remove the abscess. However, it wound up taking four hours to remove the abscess. And I wound up having to have three types of general anesthesia injected into me because the first two did not succeed in knocking me out. In addition, I had to be intubated because the oxygen mask didn't work either. But, thanks to me signing an agreement form allowing them to do a biopsy sample on some of the tissue removed from the abscess, we found out what was causing the majority of some of my health issues. The biopsy results were not good. We found out that I have Stage 2 Hidradenitis Suppurativa and it has spread throughout my body. And we, meaning my mom and I, we're told that once the disease reaches Stage 3 or 4 it turns terminal. And I just turned 35 years old.
On another note, my great aunt Mamie is not doing well. In fact, she is now completely bedridden, incontinent, unable to eat solid or even soft food, and is currently on a feeding tube. And we just found out that she has deteriorated even further. She is now curled up in a fetal position and my family and I have been told that death is now eminent.
But on a happier note, my brother is now getting married in October! His fiance is very nice, doesn't judge me or others and isn't an ultra-religious nutter- unlike his previous girlfriends. And her family is very decent. And I myself have found a boyfriend with similar interests as me. In fact, we have exchanged phone numbers and emails. But we are holding off on our first date with each other until things here settle down with me and I can find time to work around my work schedule. In addition to this, I just got a nice pay raise!
Well that's all for now folks! Have a great day!
