Leaf, by Niggle

A real elm leaf, picked up from the ground in Oslo where tall elm trees flourish, unaffected by the Duch Elm Disease that wiped out the UK elm population.  The leaf fluttered out of my copy of J.R.R. Tolkien, Artist and Illustrator. The 7"x9" canvas and stand were lying empty.  The hardest part was mixing acrylics to the right shade for an elm leaf, and sticking the leaf to the gold background.  Everyone should have their own Leaf, by Niggle (a short story by J.R.R. Tolkien).
