Sindow Coin by ReapersMenagerie

The Sindow Coin or SC is the main group currency.

:bulletred: We DO NOT allows sales of Sindows, items, breeding slots, etc... for real life money or dA points.
:bulletred: You CANNOT 'trade' your Sindow(s), items for RL money or dA points.
:bulletred: Any Sindow related sales for RL money or points will be removed from the group and you will be reminded about the rule. If you cannot abide by this rule after you have been warned, you will be removed of all your Sindows/items, and kicked out.

:bulletgreen: You CAN trade your Sindow(s)/items for other ARPG group currency, items, or genos, etc...
:bulletgreen: You CAN sell your Sindow(s)/items etc... for Sindow coins.

Why can't I sell my Sindow for what I want?

I wanted to take the RL Money and dA point value off of all my species heads. I want people to treat them more like characters, not breeding machines and the RL money/point value would increase the need to breed and sell offspring.

I also wanted the group to be like it's own inclusive little world, like a video game as well. You enter the game and most of the time  you have to do things to earn your own currency. That's what I wanted here. Yes, I know that you can buy things with RL money in video games, but that's not my point.

It makes it truly fair to all, keeps the money target off the species, and doesn't let anyone's credit card do the talking. I understand that it's your choice to use real money or not in ARPG, but I just wanted something different and not to be concerned about customs and RL money. I wanted people to put in the work for their Sindows.

Will there ever be cash/points sales of adotable Sindows available from the group?

No. All group prompted adopts will be for Sindow coin sale or Draw/Write-to-Adopt.

Again, I understand this makes it hard for some people to join the group when you need group currency to buy the Sindow, but you're completely new and don't have any. If you want your first Sindow to be a custom, then you'll just have to work to get it, Starters are always available to participate in activities in order to earn SC. (This again relates back to people buying custom shinies to just breed for rare genes.) That's why I have the Creation Lab which allows new members to create their first Sindow for free as well as the Weekly Raffle.

However, this is an ARPG group. If you didn't plan on drawing or writing about the Sindow, just buying to have, then this probably isn't the best group for you.

How do I earn SC if I'm new to the group and don't have any Sindows, but want to buy one?
- This is for people who want to get a Sindow that they truly connect with instead of the free one for now to use to get SC and they never use it again. -

- Newbie Starter packs: They include 2,000 SC!
- Activities: Take a group starter and participate in some activities, you'll earn items you can trade in for SC or you may just pick up some SC on your way.
- Weekly Raffles: They may have SC prizes from time to time AND also Sindows available.
- Other Users: this doesn't mean beg for SC, this means search through the advertisements for people looking for art, etc... of their Sindows and they're offering to pay in SC! Some may even have giveaways!

This seems like a lot more work. Having point/cash sales is so much easier.

The point is to curate activity instead of seeing dollar signs. I know alot of people don't buy with the intent to use their characters as breeding machines or buy just to buy, but again, I just wanted the RL money value off their heads. I wanted something different and I wanted people to put in a little effort.

Can my Sindow get injured during group events and activities?

Yes, Sindows have a small chance (15%) at getting injured while exploring, showing, and working. They have a slightly larger chance of getting injured (20%) when partaking in the ongoing storyline chapters. They will not get injurted during holiday events or special events.

How is Sindow health kept track of?

Each Sindow has a health bar in their Import sheet, under their personality. It'll look like this 100/100 HP. Each injury type has a certain amount of Health Points (HP) it'll take away when your Sindow is injured. This is done by admin, though if you want, you can also put it in your Sindows tracker.

What are the types of injuries?

There are three types of injuries, minor, major, and severe.

Minor: -5 Health ( small cuts, scrapes, and bruises)
Major: -15 health (punctures, large bruises, deep cuts, torn muscles/ligaments)
Severe - 30 health (lacerations (large), broken bones, internal bleeding)

Does health affect anything?

Yes! If your Sindow is too injured, it will not be able to take part in breeding or certain activities. Here is the chart:

50-100% health = full participation in anything
30-49% health = barred from exploring, working, and showing as well as any group shows/competitions
20-39% health = barred from any of the above and breeding as well
0-29% health = sindow may not participate in any group activities including: Showing, working, exploring, breeding, monthly quests, any group event

How do I heal my Sindow?

Once your Sindow is injured, you may choose to heal it immediately or you may choose to wait and run the risk of it getting worse when you're Sindow gets injured again. You can heal your Sindow in a number of ways.

Drawing or Writing: Draw or write about your Sindow being treated by the group vet OR someones hired out Vet. You do not have to depict the vets office, as vets can make house calls as well. You do not have to depict vet or handler, but the Sindow must look like it's being treated. So there has to be medical equipment around, a bandage on the Sindow, etc... drawing it sitting in the middle of a field (even with injuries) will not count.

Group Vet vs. Hired Out Vets
The group vet is for everyone. You don't have to pay a fee for her services through THIS method. If you don't want to draw/write, then you may just pay her.

Hired Out Vets are other group members handlers that are a vet. They can hire out their handlers for any cost they see fit (just remember, no points or cash) Depending on the level of the vet, they'll dish out more HP per image. To find out how much, go here: [career bonus journal]

- Each drawing gives +5 health!

- Healing images count as general art and need to meet certain requirements:

- Art must be larger than 300 x 300 pixels
- Art must have a background
- Art must be colored
- Writing must be more than 650 words
- You can depict up to 5 injured Sindows in one piece, as long as it makes sense.

Submit your healing piece(s) here:

Healing Items: Right now, the only healing item is the Healing injection. It can be bought, found, or won and used by itself or in accompanyment of a healing image.

Healing Injections have a singular use that gives +10 health. So if you have more than one, we'll say you have three, they give +30 health total. Once they have been used, they disappear from your inventory.

To use healing items, comment here: [healing items log]

Paying the Vet: You may also just pay the vet a fee of 5,000 SC per 5 Health and this may also be used with other methods as well. IF you plan on paying the vet for the whole healing, go to the vet journal below. If you plan on paying the vet for part of the healing, you must PAY THE VET FIRST! And then provide the proof in healing piece comment.

You can visit the vet here: [Pay the Vet]

What is Tack?

Tack is the equipment you put on your Sindow, like saddles, collars, bridles, blankets, and lead ropes.

Can I make tack for my Sindow?

Of course! At any time, you can make tack for your Sindow (or have someone else). However, unless it has been blessed in the Wishing Well and earned stat points, it will not have any stat points.

There are no limits on the type of tack you can make. Make armor, make western, english, or racing tack. You can make renaissance themed tack, tack themed from your favorite super hero/villain, tribal tack. It's basically anything you want.

Tack and Accessories are not the same.

Tack vs Accessories:
Tack is typically large items or equipment that is used for the Sindows discipline. This includes any type of protection like leg guards or blankets for warmth/traveling. Collars are considered tack as well.

Accessories are things that make the Sindow look pretty rather, but don't have any use other wise. Earrings, necklaces, decorative capes, bracelets, and any other purely decorative adornment that is not part of a saddle, bridle, blanket or any other tack is considered an accessory. Accessories are free to make and add, but only small accessories are allowed on the official import. You can learn more about this here: [Design Add-Ons]

Accessories are not allowed to be dipped in the wishing well. If you're not sure if something is considered tack or an accessory just ask!

Can I draw my tack on my Sindows import?

Not the officially uploaded one. Only small acessories are allowed on the official import to prevent the Sindows design from being covered.

You may make your own tack sheet, like this:
Dorn's reining tack set by Stripe13
or draw it right on the lines, like this:
Custom Tack Set for Akita--inu by xWolfwingx  SWR Sindow SAR Tack by xWolfwingx

- you can also draw it right over the design!

:bulletgreen: You can add a link to their tack set or accessory sheet in the import sheet or just link it under the LOG comment, where the tracker journal goes as well. But you do not have to do this, you can simply leave it in the Sindow's tracker journal as well.

What's the difference between my tack and the shop tack?

The big difference is stat points.

Shop tack comes with stat points that act as a constant boost for your Sindow and they act more like items than actual tack. So, if you have shop tack you can draw that on your Sindow or draw your user made tack set and have the store tack as items. It's up to you.

Can I equip my Sindows user made tack under the items bar?

No, Admin must do that for you. And user made tack is only equipped as an item if it has been blessed with Stat points in the wishing well.

If you start out with shop tack and then want your dipped user tack equipped, please note the group! You cannot have store tack and dipped user tack on the same Sindow. Admin will clear out your store tack and add your user tack.

How do I dip my tack in the Wishing Well?

:bulletgreen: You may make multiple sets of tack for your Sindow for different disiplines, HOWEVER you can only dip ONE whole set of tack. This makes it so people don't have 5 sets of tack for the same Sindow and get a bunch of stat points without doing any actual work with the Sindow.

- Each piece of tack will be dipped separately. If you have it on a big sheet, no need to submit separately, we will just roll each piece separately.

- Each piece of tack has a 50% chance at getting stat points. It will earn 1-6 stat points in 1-3 stat categories. (more on how this works in the wishing well journal under the tack dipping section).

How to I obtain a sindow?
Reply
:iconreapersspecieshub:
First, you'll join the group, if you're not already a member.

Then on the left side of the groups front page is a welcome area with all kinds of imformation. You'll see the 'current events and competitions' area, then scroll down a little because right underneath that is a 'Getting Started Information' section. In that little section you'll find links to several methods of adoption.

I hope this helps:) I don't have time to link every single journal here, but it's all in the group, so just go to the group and start reading^^
